The location was perfect! Tucked away in a charming neighborhood full of old world Portuguese charm. Walking distance to town but out of the way. The host were very accommodating. Met me in town at a cafe and guiding me to the property. I do not speak the local language which is always a little challenging but one of the owners did which made a world if did difference. They have a heat and air conditioner but there is also a wonderful little wood burning stove that warmed the place up perfectly. I original bool kid for just two nights but ended up staying for six. I was replenished with fire wood as well as fresh eggs from their chickens. Upon arrival there was a bottle of wine plus homemade pastries. I own a apartment in the same town and when I cannot accommodate all of my guest, I will highly recommended Grandma Villa!
