Horses in the front of the room in the morning. Breakfast is very good, there is even a menu for dogs. Staff is very friendly. We recommend this location.

Absolutly fantastic accomodation. Beautiful, very big room with bathroom and very comfortable bed. Also nice sitting area and fantastic terrace where we you can just sip your glass of wine and enjoy the view. Breakfast was perfect with everything you could think of. There is also tea, coffee and cake available in the dining room all day long. The host, Irene, is very, very nice and we had the best time in her house.
We definitely recommend this accomodation and hope to come back again.

Os Poetas is located on the same street as an amazing restaurant: "Crónicas da Vila". The two, the hotel and the restaurant, constituted the best welcome I could have had after a long bike ride from Ponte de Lima.

A pleasant small town by the river Lima with a lovely path for walking or cycling along the river towards Ponte de Lima. Good base for discovering the near by national park if you have your own transport. Plenty of cafes and restaurants but probably more suited to those who like the quiet life than clubs and mass entertainment.

Really nice location with easy access to lots of beautiful places, once one had become familiar with the local roads! The National park at Peneda Geres is easily accessible, and there are lots of easy riverside walks on both the River Vez and River Lima on the Ecovia.

Ponte da Barca is a nice little town.
Ponte da Barca is a nice little town. The people were very friendly and helpful, and most folks speak a little English and very good French. It has great bakeries and restaurants. It's certainly a great jumping off point for tours of the National Park. If you ask for directions, the folks are likely to walk with you to your destination to make sure you get there. They are very patient.
