The rooms are spacious qnd clean with comfortable beds and we slept like babies. It is in the quiet part of the village, the garden is nice and there is enough space to park. It has a big terrace on the first floor, large enough to make a party, and there is also a place to sit in the garden. Hot water, toiletries, well equipped kitchen... The owners are wonderful people, they treated us with coffee, grapes, rakija, snacks. I would recommend this place to people who come to climb the via ferrata routes, it is very near the White Wolf club and the climbing area. It is also good for groups, beacause they have enough rooms (as I saw around 12 people can stay). All in all, my warmest 10!

Really great location, in a very quiet area. Very spacious place, the hosts are great, friendly, and helpfull! Totally recommend for a family, even 4 adults and 2 kids would fit easily into one house. It's very clean, and equipped with basic kitchenette, which work fine. Very comfortable beds, warm inside. Good toilets. Most of your time, you spend outside, so it's great to stay in the porch in the morning or evening. You can get a breakfast, which you can customize and it's a big portion :) You can meet a dog - Charlie and couple of cats, all very child-friendly :) Kids can spend time playing on their playground, while adults can play soccer or tennis, which is great option. You can also do a barbecue, and connect with other people too. I highly recommend this place.
A good location for a stress-free getaway in Baia de Fier, Pensiunea Angelica is a guest house surrounded by views of the quiet street.

The host Mrs. Angelica is a wonderful person, always preoccupied by keeping the guests happy, asking if we needed more food/drinks or if we wanted a different music etc. The dinner and breakfast were extraordinary, here you can eat natural home made food (like different types of cheese, butter, sour cream, sausages, bacon, all home made) and drink real cow milk. You can also drink home made spirit drinks (like blueberry spirit, brandy) and fruit syrups.
The room was very clean and well heated during the night. Hot water for taking a shower is always available.

Hi. I couldn't say if Baia de Fier is the best for shopping or food as it's a secluded mountain village. The only bonus I found is it's close to the southern starting point of Transalpina (Novaci) and the accommodation was fairly affordable.
