Our visit was to travel on the steam train “Mocanita”- that is a must see. The 20 minute walk from our hotel to the station was described as well sign posted- there was no signage and had to rely on the iPhone to reach our destination.

Quite central location to explore both Maramures and Rodnei mountains. For Rodnei, use old lift in Borsa - easiest way to get close to its ridge. But be aware that one day trips in mountains are demanding - downhill pathways could be really steep and demanding.

They invited us to a palinca in the evening and coffee in the morning. Unfortunately, we didn't have time for breakfast because we took the 9 am train, but it smelled delicious. Would recommend Casa Buga to anyone coming to Viseu de Sus for the Mocanita.lauraRomania

Hotel Yara has great personnel, welcoming and always helpful. The view from the room was amazing and we enjoyed having a balcony. The hotel has all new facilities and everything was really clean, staff would swing by the room each day to tidy it 👍🏻 food was ok, not great.

We had a beautiful view from our balcony. Very comfortable beds. We were greeted with great warmth, a cup of coffee and a palinka on the house.
