The location was excellent, close to a prime spot in Port of Spain. It also had the added benefit of convenience for me to be able to walk to where I needed to go. A supermarket and a variety of places for food were also very much nearby and in great supply.
We liked our room, it was comfortable and spacious.
We liked our room, it was comfortable and spacious. The food was exceptionally good. We ate on the balcony overlooking the sea. Managers and staff were friendly and accommodating. We strolled and bathe on the beach.

The safe sandy beach with very friendly beach facility...
The safe sandy beach with very friendly beach facility cleaning staff and attendants. Lifeguards manned the beach from 10am -18.00 pm . Toilet clean. The cafe was not open during my stay but there were several places to buy take away food in normal circumstances by the small fishing harbour (obviously frequented regularly by fishermen).
2 food cabins on the main road were open for at least part of my day but not every day.
Slightly up the hill on the way to La Fayette on your left were several shops with basic produce (especially one by the catholic church).
There were buses to Port of Spain about 5 times a day but the last one on Saturday is just after 15.00.
The last one from Port of Spain is 17.00pm on a weekday. So almost certainly a Taxi is needed from the airport and it is along distance. (Booking .com did a good job getting a taxi driver but for my return he wanted me to book on the internet with no computer ( The Hotel Manager said), electricity or Wifi (Wifi cut out on Saturday morning). This was not possible .
We had a great time staying at Las Cuevas beach lodge, the hotel is located in a great location near Las Cuevas beach, and there is a spectacular view of it from the hotel. Our stay itself was very pleasant, and we were particularly impressed by the hospitality of the owner Sanjaay, who went out of his way to help arrange activities in the area, as well as transport, and was overall a fantastic host. Recommend to anyone in the Maracas bay/las cuevas area.
Narish was very kind and attentive to us. When we arrived we were assigned a room that was not correct and he changed it for us, gave us the best room in the hotel, cooked local food for us, took great care of us and looked after us very well. We are very grateful, we took a friend with us!
Breakfast was of a good quality and some local dishes were offered . We had a family get together at the hotel and the meal prepared was of a very high standard and excellent quality .We liked the spectacular views of Las quevas bay and easy access to the beach
Great location across the street from the beach. The hotel manager is fantastic and very accommodating. The restaurant/bar patio is lovely to hang out during the day and evening. The food is good, considering there are virtually no other options in the area.
The location is ideal just across the road from the Las Cuevas Beach Facility. The restaurant is well placed for excellent views. The menu is limited and food very basic but the staff were very pleasant and willing to assist.
Great location across the street from the beach, beautiful ocean views from the property, nice ambiance, friendly staff and comfortable bed. I could see this hotel was the place to be in it’s day.
