I liked how nice the staff was, the breakfast and the rooms.
What a beautiful and well kept city! Right next to the White Sands with a friendly community. We found everything we needed and didn’t even have time to get to see the Zoo in a neighboring city. We’ll be back!

We were just passing through and planned to see the White Sands the next day, but they were doing missle testing and it was closed, so we had to move on without seeing them. We do plan to go back for a longer stay.

We didn't spend much time in Alamogordo.
We didn't spend much time in Alamogordo. We drove from San Antonio TX, with the purpose of going to White Sands Natural Area. Staying in Alamogordo puts you about 14 miles, easy drive to the area. There are multiple restaurants and gas stations and coffee shops. Some of the restaurant chains were Appleby's, Chili's, Denny's, Starbucks and plenty of other known chains. Along with several Asian restaurants.

Alamogordo is a small town, but hosts many businesses and restaurants. There is an excellent Space Museum, White Sands National Monument, downtown zoo, and local museum. It is a fun destination for families or weekend get-aways.

The NM Space Museum in town was quite good.
The NM Space Museum in town was quite good. The town is also just a stones throw from White Sands National Park. Seems a good place to stop during a road trip. Be sure to stick with chain hotels to increase your chances of a better experience.
I arrived around 10:00 at night, however the receptionist promptly answered the door and check in was quick and easy. We rented the three bed family room, which was very spacious and comfortable. The staff had no problem offering us extra towels since there were five of us. The hotel is conveniently located close to several restaurants on the North end of the main street through Alamogordo. Overall, my family's stay was restful and pleasant and I would stay here again.
The breakfast was much more extensive than I expected, considering how inexpensive my stay was! The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive. The room was comfortable and clean, and was pretty and in a nice location! I loved my stay here and was surprised by how comfortable everything was. Honestly, of the motels I stayed in during this roadtrip (and there were many!) this was by far the best (and cheapest!) one I stayed at. I would highly recommend it.
Ease of booking. Pet friendly option. Proximity to White Sands State Natural area. Recognized chain. Walking distance to restaurants. Room was exactly what I expected a Quality Inn room to be like. Clean, tidy, large enough for two large dogs and two humans. Enough room for the dog beds without us tripping over them. Nice tiled area near the bathroom, which was great for the dogs bowls. Comfortable bed. Furnishings in good shape, no stains.
I didn’t
I was put in the back side parking to tight
A single women should not feel unsafe
Manager was not helpful
Had Luke warm water for a shower
Was told by the maintenance person that because the water heater is so far away it won’t get hot water ???
And because they are the cheapest in town
Super 8 in Alamogordo did not disappoint. This place is our go-to when we visit New Mexico. The value is amazing. The owner is awesome, the place is clean & well-maintained, and the breakfast is great. If you are ever in Alamogordo, I highly recommend this hotel.
Location was great as our main purpose for visiting the area was to go to White Sands. The hotel had very quick and easy access.
Also, Clarissa went above and beyond to help us with details of our check-out to better fit our schedule.
Breakfast is always good at Holiday Inn. Room was clean, and there’s an indoor pool. Great location to go to the white sands national park. We go to the hotel after we went to white sands, but they also have free rental sleds.
This place exceeded all of my expectations. Extremely clean and well maintained rooms and very good value for money. I can not stress this enough, this is the best 'budget hotel' I've ever stayed in.
As a woman relocating to the hotel's immediate area, each of my needs were nicely met. My room was perfect for myself. And, were I there for travel and tourism, the hotel met such needs.
One negative thing happened. The hotel was pet friendly and there was a large barking dog on our floor. He quit barking once his owners returned to their room.
Staff were quite friendly and helpful. The hotel is convenient to lots of restaurants and shopping. It was quiet and the other patrons did not disturb us.
