We decided to do a touristy weekend, came over form Portland. We found the perfect breakfast spot, very inexpensive and SO good! The Riverwalk Restaurant, the biscuits and gravy are to die for. Our favorite seafood place is South Bay Wild Fish House. We love walking the streets and going into all the groovy little shops. Took the Underground Tour this time which was so fun! Visited the Astoria Column which was so interesting and the scenery from the ground and the top of the column was breathtaking. The climb up the column had me out of breath so caution if you have medical issues or are just plain out of shape like me. My grandson and I went bowling at Lower Columbia Bowl when a beachside fire was out of the question for grandpa lol . Had a blast! We love Astoria!!

Love the antique and unique shops on Commercial in downtown Astoria. Toured the Flavel House, which I definitely recommend. Found a funky sportsbar called the MerryTime which serves giant juicy burgers. Love the sound of the seals and the maritime feel of Astoria.

We loved the location of the hotel. It was next to the river with a walking path.Every morning and evening we watched the ships come in and viewed the beautiful sunrises and sunsets.Downtown Astoria was easy to walk and offered many shops and places to eat.Just a beautiful old town with stunning views.

Astoria is a busy place, lots to do.

Astoria is a busy place, lots to do. We went down to spend time with young grandchildren and took a good friend and his son. Booking.com advertises This motel at $60 a night and it was $175 a night so we could not stay as long as we would have liked. I think misrepresentation like this is a crime and I felt cheated.. The motel blamed the price change on Booking.com.

    The hotel location was super.

The hotel location was super. We were within walking distance of a few restaurants. We ate at the Bridgewater Bay Bistro only a couple of minutes walk. The fresh caught halibut was wonderfully tasty. We also ate at a local Mexican restaurant, El Tiapatio, (10-minute walk) from hotel. The restaurant was colorful and food and drinks were great. Many locals were also dining there. The riverwalk is directly in front of the hotel. There is some construction on it, so it was not as accessible as it might have been. The Trolley is running only from 1-4 pm. Museums are a 30-35 minute walk from the hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed the Heritage Museum with history of Astoria.

The room is always clean and beautiful. A short walk upstairs, and you'll be on the roof looking at all of Astoria beautiful views. This hotel is walking distance to everything downtown. Spacious room with a balcony overlooking the marina, and view of the bridge. Room was nice, bed was comfortable and everything seemed clean. It seems to be an older hotel with some updates needed, but nothing that ruined my stay. I’ve stayed there before and certainly would again. Great price as well compared to other hotels in the area. Staff were awesome as well, both day and evening shifts.

This is the perfect location to tour not only Astoria but also the Long Beach Peninsula a few miles to the north and the Seaside/Cannon Beach area to the south. The free breakfast is very well presented and offers a better-than-average selection and quality of food and drinks. The hotel is an excellent place to watch the river traffic from, and we enjoy that aspect very much.

Property was on the waterfront with a beautiful view of the river and the Astoria Bridge. I loved the sunset and listening to the sea lions. Also made use of the trail along the waterfront behind the property. The property is convenient to the grocery store, restaurants, and novelties.

Cool hotel with very good vibe. They let you check out a turntable to bring in your room and play their records. It has a good blend of down to earth scandinavian and hipster. Awesome place and it's close to tons of cool spots.
