Big Indian has special meaning for me as I used to come up...
Big Indian has special meaning for me as I used to come up here to stay in a home on one of the mountains, hike up the mountains, participate in winter & summer activities for years as a younger child & adult. I also had to settle some issues for my brother's estate who passed away a year ago & visit friends in the area. Neat, small town with beautiful statues of Indians.
Neat, small town with beautiful statues of Indians. A nice park in town with a huge pavilion, swings, gazebo, etc. Plenty of fishing spots to include fishing, swimming, and beach nearby at Belleayre. There's also several ski resorts closeby for wintertime activities. No shortage of outdoor activities in this area, no matter the season.

The rooms are a little outdated, but everything worked, the place was clean and the kitchen had everything you would need. The outside areas are nice also. I wish the weather was warmer to take advantage of the outdoors, but I would definitely stay there again. And finally a bathroom with adequate lighting. Most hotels and motels have terrible lighting in the bathrooms. Really the entire room had good lighting which is not common today.PorrinoUnited States of America
