The location and quiteness.. but facilities is a health hazard
This was our first visit to Globe and the surrounding area.
This was our first visit to Globe and the surrounding area. Its a charming mix of history, mining, rustic and contemporary. Between nearby Superior, Miami, Claypool and Globe, there is plenty of available food and shopping.
An absolute must-see while in Globe is the Besh-Ba-Gowah Archaeological Park and Museum. It was once home to the Salado people. Watch an interesting 12 minute orientation video about the history of the location, then into the adjacent gift shop and museum which houses an amazing collection of artifacts excavated from the site. The archaeological site itself is just steps away. Restrooms are available and entry is adults $5, Seniors $4, kids under 12 free.

I go to Globe often for work so I don't like go around seeing what to do for fun or anything like that. I do know some things and that is the food in the little restaurants they have are good. The newest (probably only) sushi spot is great and also the owner also runs a pizza joint right next door to the sushi spot. The Mexican restaurants are pretty good and then your basics fast food is also present. Also just west of Globe is a town of Miami which you pass before going into Globe from the 60 has good Mexican places also and not far off the 60. Miami places to try The Burger House and Guayo's El Rey. Globe places to try El Rey, Irene's Real Mexican Food, La Casita East, Bloom (sushi) and Guayo's On The Trail.

A little hard to give experience with what's going on in the world right now, most stores are either closed or closed early. That ones that are open it was nice to be able to go in and look around. The scenery is beautiful.

Globe, snd the nearby cities, is one of too many areas whose time has passed. To it's credit, it continues to survive and has an avtive downtown and a vibrant history. Visit the museums, both here and in nearby Miami, and hike one of the historic mining districts. Try a Mexican restaurant while there, and allow a full day for your explorations if you can.

A small historic town ( mining).
A small historic town ( mining). Alot of historic places to visit. Tonto National Monument, cliff dwellings, and Roosevelt Lake which has a boat dock with fishing, water skiing and just enjoying the outdoors.
My first time staying here and I really enjoyed it. The hotel was very clean and the beds were super comfortable. They had everything in the room and I didn't have to go to the front desk and ask for it such as an iron, an ironing board and a hair dryer. The pool was open too!! I will definitely stay here again, I only do wish they had washers and dryers here but they don't. They had breakfast too but unfortunately I did not try it.
One of the cheapest places I could find on short notice. The location was great for what I needed. I walked to some places and it was a short drive to others. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There was a TV, microwave, fridge that all worked fine. Wifi quality was good. Staff was earnest about cleaning the room and refilling toiletries etc.
lovely welcome from reception, rooms modern and clean, the pool was actually open as advertised which has been unusual so far, great breakfast included in room rate and plenty of it. This hotel is excellent value for money and we would definitely recommend.
A good choice to explore Globe City and Miami from, large rooms and bathrooms make it convenient for both business visitors and those enjoying hikes in the hills and canyons surrounding Globe City. Excellent wifi connection.
