Hastings is a small town on the Mississippi River in southeast Minnesota. The downtown has some historic buildings and nice local shops. Vermilion Falls is on the small side and has a large milling factory next to it. There are nicer waterfalls to see in the area. The waterfront is nice to walk around, and there are places to rent a boat or other watercraft. The local shops and restaurants are very nice. Spiral Pizza serves some of the best thin crust pizza that I have tasted anywhere. Schoolhouse Scoop offers some of the best ice cream in Minnesota, but sadly doesn't offer free tastes of its flavors. Hastings offers a nice place to getaway with a partner, and there are numerous larger events to attend year-round.Stephen BUnited States - 6.0Scored 6.0
I love all the little shops in the downtown area.
I love all the little shops in the downtown area. The people were all so friendly. The walk on the river walk was excellent. It is a neat little town. Not a ton of traffic and lots to do. I don't think we even hit half of what is offered. Just ask if there is something you want to do and someone can help you find it.
