I used to live in the Herndon area about twenty years ago, so my opinion may be slightly biased. Overall, there are good dining options including, every fast food option, and other chain restaurants. We didn’t stay in the region, but we did visit the large air and space museum, which was very interesting for all age groups, and drove to some nearby historic towns. Next time, would visit some of the nearby wineries and hike, it’s so beautiful here. Previously, we visited the great falls nearby, also cool for all ages.
