Hyatt House Denver Tech Center, hotel in Highlands Ranch

Hyatt House Denver Tech Center in Centennial features a seasonal outdoor swimming pool and a bar. The hotel also offers a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi. Guest can enjoy a restaurant on site.

We had the 2 BR/ 2Bath suite with one king bed and two queen beds. Beds are soooo comfortable and the room was spacy . It was nice to have each your own privacy but you could still socialize in the kitchen/living room. Just wish there were more than 2 stools in the kitchen ...for a room that large you would of thought it would have 4 with a larger breakfast bar in the kitchen to socialize. Loved having a full size refrigerator and freezer. Just note: because the rooms have freezers the hotel DOES NOT offer an ice machine ...so if your ice maker wasnt turned on...your screwed if you need ice. My cousin had sprained her knee and we had no way to help her out with ice for it. Also, breakfast is yummy but dont be a minute late because they are DONE ..lol no straggling munchies.

We stayed for the second time and this time we stayed one night, then travelled west (and stayed in the same hotel chain there) and then two other nights. We preferred to drive 35-40 min to the airport in the morning from this location rather than going closer to the airport. We just preferred this area. We liked that you are close to the shopping, if you need to buy any groceries, pharmacy etc. There was a very nice restaurant/brewery Rock Bottom right across the street. We ate there twice (nice food, beer and service). And it has practical location when heading out of the city. Safe location. Nice views of the mountains in the distance. I would return again.

I actually live in Highlands Ranch.

I actually live in Highlands Ranch. Came to stay at the hotel when our house was without water for a couple of days (long story). Highlands Ranch is a large residential community in the south metro Denver area. It's a lovely place to live. Lots of shopping nearby, parks, trails, close to major highways and the mountains. Getting around is easy - this was a master planned community from the start so they made the roads wide enough to accommodate the traffic. Over 250,000 people live in Highlands Ranch, but you'd never know it. Getting to downtown Denver, where more of the tourist attractions are, is a bit more challenging. However it's just an hour to Colorado Springs, 75 miles to the major ski areas of Summit County.

The interstate & county roads were under heavy construction...

The interstate & county roads were under heavy construction for added lanes with dozens of temporary signs that were pretty good most of the time but resulting in having to turn around twice in one area coming from the Denver Internat'l Airport going to Highlands Ranch. Can't complain because that's progress for them, being from another state! The town of HR is so new and inviting. Been here twice before visiting relatives. We went to a 90th birthday weekend get together with family, so not much time spent eating out. Did some site seeing in the nearby mountains - beautiful country!

I was here because of a family member in the hospital.

I was here because of a family member in the hospital. Convenience/location to the hospital was perfect. I lived in the area years ago and always thought it was a beautiful place to be. Unfortunately, this was not a pleasure trip.
