Hampton Inn Cave City, KY, hotel in Horse Cave

Hampton Inn Cave City, KY is located in Cave City, 31 miles from Paul Walker Golf Course and 31 miles from The Golf Course at Riverview.

Overall, the property was in line with what you'd expect from a Hampton Inn and in a nice location to visit Mammoth Caves National Park. We were able to walk to Cracker Barrel for dinner and a great Mexican place is just down the street.

Econo Lodge, hotel in Horse Cave

Econo Lodge is located in Cave City, within 30 miles of Paul Walker Golf Course and 31 miles of The Golf Course at Riverview.

The location wasn't horrible as it was right off the highway and nearby most of what we wanted to do. There were so many "smaller" caves in the area that are well worth a visit (Crystal Onyx Cave, Onyx Rock Cave & Rock Shop). If we did have to drive it was 20-30 minutes to the bigger adventures in the area (Mammoth Caves, Bowling Green).

Baymont by Wyndham Cave City, hotel in Horse Cave

Conveniently located off Interstate 65, this Cave City, Kentucky hotel is 16 minutes’ drive from Mammoth Cave. Free WiFi access is available, and a continental breakfast is served daily.

Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Very close to all the attractions we went to see. Great place if all you're doing is sleeping. Breakfast was basic - toaster waffles, yogurts, cold cereal, toast, and coffee. Good value for the price. Also the lady who checked us in was super nice.

The room was clean and well kept. The space was bit small, but that’s to be expected given the age and uniqueness of the room

Went to the town of Horse Cave for overnight stay after spending the day at Mammoth Cave Natl Park. Reserved two non smoking rooms at Horse Cave Motel more than two weeks in advance, upon arrival, one room reeked of smoke. When asked to be moved was told there were no other rooms available. Room had no heat, shower was missing the cold water handle and so was inop. Bedspread had cigarette burn holes in it. The room was grungy, there is NO resemblance between the pictures on this site and the reality. Slept on top of the bed all night, had to leave the windows open because of the cigarette smell. Sink plunger did not work so there was no way to really wash up (since the shower could not be used). Upon check out was told that things had been taken care of. Did not sign a credit card charge slip. Later in the morning, received a message that the reservation was cancelled, then that we had been a no show and that all fees had been waived by the motel. However, I now have a charge for two rooms +pet fee on my charge card. Business practice at this motel are the worst. Next time I would sleep in my car or find a different accommodation. There is no place to really eat in town, better to stay/eat on the freeway.

    I really enjoy Horse Cave.

I really enjoy Horse Cave. It's a short distance to Cave City. I ate in Horse Cave at a place called Healthyish, and it was amazing. I shopped a few antique stores between the two cities, and the staff everywhere was friendly. My favorite restaurant is actually in Cave City; Watermill. They have a great breakfast selection, as well as a lunch and dinner buffet with a salad and a dessert bar. Their catfish is the best I've ever had. Places are easy to find, and the tourist attractions are wonderful.

A roadside motel, cheap, reasonably clean.

A roadside motel, cheap, reasonably clean. Refrigerator and microwave in the room. Milk house space heaters are the heat source, as the heating unit not working. The paper thin walls allowed you to hear the conversation of the guests in the next room as if they were in our room. As they say, you get what you pay for, and if getting a good night's rest is important, look elsewhere!

Horse Cave is a small town.

Horse Cave is a small town. There wasn’t a whole lot that we did right in the town itself, but we found it a great little hidden gem to stay at while visiting Mammoth Cave and the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green (which is about 35 minutes South of here), and a few other places along the way!

There wasn't much to do at this exit, but it is only a short drive to restaurants. If you're in the area to explore the caves and don't care for being in the middle of shopping and local traffic, this is a perfect spot to wind down and rest.

I was really worried that for how inexpensive the rooms were that it was going to be a dump. i was pleasantly surprised to see that it is a nice property. the rooms were clean and comfortable (a little shabby but that's not really important. we were here to go to the park not hang out in the hotel). The staff were really nice folks, very accommodating and helpful. we will visit Mammoth Cave again in the future and i will book with them again.

My boyfriend and I enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere of the motel. We are definitely going to stay at the Horse Cave again. The gentleman that checked us in was really thoughtful and helpful. I appreciate everything he did. The next time I think we will get a king room even though I have some issues with my legs I think I can walk up the stairs. I really enjoyed our stay. It wasn't long enough stay. We want to Thank the staff.

I’ll spend extra $ next time to get different hotel. and breakfast sucked.

The hotel was very clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool area was very clean and provided a great afternoon of entertainment of a very rainy day. My kids, husband and I enjoyed the breakfast every morning. We look forward to coming back to Horse Cave Holiday Inn Express for future vacations near Mammoth Cave.

I didn’t get to stay because the hotel clerk disappeared and made me wait 20 minutes at the front desk. Then came back and said a room wasn’t ready? At 4:00 pm? Place was dirty nasty. Had to sleep in my vehicle and wash up at a truck stop. Won’t use booking.com ever again.

We came in with pets, and he bent over backwards to make us as comfortable as possible. The rooms are what you'd expect from a motel, but very clean and quiet. AC worked great and the beds were comfortable. You cannot beat this quality at this price!
