This little cabin was just perfect. We loved seeing the goats, chickens, ducks and bunnies. There was a beautiful stream running right in front of the property. It felt totally private though there were were other cabins close by. It was so much better than choosing a hotel for our stay.

The manager was the best I have had. They had a water pipe burst. I was there 4 nights. Didn’t know they didn’t have a microwave and fridge in the room. The manager rolled them on a cart for me. The machine that you get hot water from is broken, but she got me water to heat in the microwave.

Small town @ the foothills of the mountains.
Small town @ the foothills of the mountains. Most places are closed on Sunday and many of the breakfast spots are only open during the week so plan accordingly. We loved Jax coffee (awesome quality) and ate at the Old Mulehouse which was tasty.

Jasper claims to be and actually is "the first city in the mountains". Driving to North Georgia from Florida is a long way, and Jasper is the easier mountain city to get to. Other, more popular areas, are not far. The location is not far from Dahlonega, Amicalola Falls State Park and other more "mountainous" towns (my favorite is Blairsville). We did not actually spent much time in Jasper, which is a small quiet town with few restaurants and facilities.

Jasper is a little town in north Georgia that is slowly becoming part of the Atlanta metropolis. There are grocery stores and restaurants and a cute downtown that is really trying to develop. It is a good location to be near Carter's Lake and Amicalola Falls.

We wanted to eat a good meal for supper in a downtown restaurant but they were all closed. Nice location to see the mountains in the distance. All of the fast food restaurants except Chik-fi-la were there.
Loved everything about it except the hard beds. But maybe most people are fine with that. And I found it a little pricey for a small mountain town. But, there was a lot of good about it too. Clean rooms, nicely set up, great fire pit and a general welcoming feeling all around. Neat location. Nothing would necessarily keep us from coming back if we needed to be in Jasper again, but I'd make sure to bring my mattress topper with me.
The hotel consists of actually 2 buildings, the main and a side building. We had a room in the side building and the door codes were provided with the reservation email. This did not work as staff did not update the door code but was quickly resolved. The hotel includes a good restaurant which was popular with locals, and the location is good with a bridge and shopping street on walking distance.
We loved the location ( safe, scenic, centrally located) , friendly staff, keyless check in, free coffee, pastries, and juice in the morning, cleanliness, and the tavern did give us free coffee upon arrival when requested. We also loved the rocking chairs on the balcony, good free wifi connection, bed and breakfast vibe, and that the hotel is owned by Americans.
The home was very welcoming comfortable beautiful scenery. Peggy contacted us before our arrival just to go over a few things and to warn us of the darkness at night in the beautiful country roads. We would definitely stay there again when we come back to Jasper
The location was excellent, right in the heart of downtown Jasper. The home was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed. We loved the charm of the older home, but it may not be for everyone. The beds were very comfortable.
I sent a request for a refund for the second night. We did not stay at the cabin for the second night and booked into a hotel due to issues of safety and cleanliness. I have not heard back from the host on my request.
