I like the gazebo, which is nice. That is the only good thing there.

Never been to Ludington before but it’s a really cute town with great shops and restaurants, the beach is pristine, and everything is relatively close to the beach. Just beautiful fall colors! If you have not been to Ludington, it’s a lot less crowded than Saugatuck and less expensive.

Given the date of my excursion, I had notice from S.S.Badger they had suffered damage to their docking facility--thus could not cruise. For THEIR part, the "cruise line" was outstanding in their effort to cancel. Amazingly easy. As I write this, they should be resuming service.
I travelled on the "Hwy. 10" (the car ferry) before, when it was operating in transport of rail cars and our auto. A trip rich in history. And, the people of the city have always been welcoming when we stopped at various establishments there. Being a segment of a U.S. highway, it is quite easy to travel through the city. There ARE a couple of hotels that I would not frequent again there; but only the two.

Love everthing about Ludington.
Love everthing about Ludington. The beach, downtown shops, House of Flavors, restaurtants and watching the Badger come in. It is close to Pentwater which has a go-cart park and not too far from Michigan Adventure too.

Ludington is one of our favorite places to visit.
Ludington is one of our favorite places to visit. The beach is so clean and plenty of things to do around there. We love to hike in the state park, which is very safe and clean. Absolutely love the Jamesport Brewing for lunch and supper. The walk to the lighthouse is beautiful and relaxing. Plenty of shops, sand dunes and fun. We love it!

Love the restaurants especially House of Flavors and Kilwins for ice cream and shops in Ludington! The Museums are informative and fun to explore. The beach is sandy and large. Parking is close to everything. Beautiful park to watch the Badger, safe play grounds for kids to play and amazing scene to watch the sunset.
Beautiful bed & breakfast! I absolutely loved the room decor and atmosphere. It was very inviting and cozy and the perfect end to an amazing day. Also enjoyed the common areas as well as the breakfast the next morning. I had to leave somewhat early to catch the 9am sailing of the Michigan Carferry, however the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating and even packed me some food to go!
I’ll definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone finding themselves in need of a bed & breakfast in Ludington!
The employees are beyond sweet and caring. She said our home is your home and it sure felt like it too. The breakfast was top notch and they have cookies for the kiddos at night(like who does that!?) The pool was awesome and that hot tub is amazing. We were stuck in Ludington in the rain waiting for check in but they accommodated us so fast we were checked in by 1 instead of 3. My 3 kids were stoked to get outta the car and watch some toons and chill. If I stay at hotel in Ludington it will be this one hands down.
We absolutely loved the size of the room and the very cozy fireplace. We had it on instead of the wall heater and it was just so warm and felt great. The bed was very comfortable, nice hardwood flooring. The shower could be improved. Small with curtain and older shower head. Even a new shower head would improve the experience greatly.
Other than that, we would hands down stay again. We came for the New Year's Eve ball drop and it was so nice to be within 15-20 minute walk to downtown from the hotel.
Location is good if you want to be in early line the next morning to board the carferry. The location is near lots of retail for food and shopping. Also on the water so beach and beautiful park nearby within walking distance. The rooms were clean and the front desk went out of her way to welcome us. She kindly upgraded us so we had a small kitchen. Worth repeating that the front desk person did a good job of dealing with short staff and other issues and tried her best to accommodate everyone.
Jenna and Chris made our stay a perfect experience in this wonderful and historic mansion. Their love to make even the tiniest detail to be just right gave us a precious memory for our time in Ludington: We really enjoyed our time with fun facts about the Cartiers and were delightfully pampered with excellent food, snacks and a delicious cake! Thank you - Katrin and Marcus
It’s time to rethink chain hotels, big names and the way we think of small motels. This was an absolute gem! Comfortable and spacious rooms, beautiful grounds with lots of little spaces to sit and sip coffee, dink wine or read a book. A wonderful breakfast included that catered to my food allergies.
We accidently left an important item at the hotel. We called the place and they quickly found and shipped the item to us. Thank you to housekeeping and staff involved in its return. So, friendliness, honesty and care for the well being of visitors are outstanding and appreciated.
Staff at the front desk was very accommodating. He was friendly and helpful. Rooms are dated but it was expected. The location of the motel is why we chose it. We visit Ludington 4-5 times each year and it was our 1st time at Ventura Motel.
Big hotel with all amenities - clean- free parking at hotel- nice spacious breakfast area-snackstand @ front desk- 15' from Ludington on main drag- nice breakfast with options + excellent follow up by breakfast lady - nice pool area
its one of those old hotel they have saved, its not a modern Holiday Inn but it was clean and close to down town not to mention the Ferry, the staff was great, wish we had more time there, the elevator was a hoot
Ask for a room in the "hotel" part - not the "motel" part with doors open to the parking lot. I felt much more secure on my stay. Room was clean and comfortable with nice size bathroom, including tub.
The hotel and room was clean. The staff was very helpful with ideas for restaurants and places to kayak.
Even though the breakfast was not normal(due to covid), it was still sufficient.
The location couldn’t be beat. Very close to downtown and the lighthouse and just a short drive to Ludington State Park and the other lighthouse and dam. The room was clean.
The location was ok, not very far from Ludington Beach and sufficiently quiet. There is no breakfast, but we got some coffee in the office (Open from 7 am).
