Breakfast was ok, though we arrived at the very end of the breakfast window so the potatoes were a little stale by then, but I enjoyed that it was more than just your typical continental breakfast. I liked that they had a breakfast taco option.

This is a very nice hotel in an excellent location on the main street, close to the bay. Rooms are nice size, clean, have old, antique furniture, and very pleasant. It has a nice restaurant.
This booking was a fraud. I searched for accommodations close to Muir Woods, on the penninsula, and this option popped up deceptively touting its closeness to something called Muir Park. I only learned the truth when I plugged in directions. I tried to cancel but was rebuffed by the property owner and got no help from Booking.com either.
I won't use Booking. com again and I will recommend not doing so to anyone I know. As for staying at the property - not a chance.

The customer service was terrible.
The customer service was terrible. They charged me $300 for a deposit when they were only supposed to charge 100. They charge my card two extra times and I still haven’t got my money back they are thieves. I had to call the police department out and they came out and try to help me resolve it. The manager was extremely rude and said I would have to wait for my refund and tell the police got there then she stepped up and did what she had to do, but still have not received my money.

Martinez, at least the old town has many shops and restaurants. It also has a train station where you can catch Amtrak. Parking in old town is a little tough though. We got great Greek food at Troy restaurant on Main Street!

I thought this City was nice given cost of living here is expensive! Also @ night people were walking while intoxicated on drugs. The pictures I took on the bed first picture is a dip and the second is a stain!
I’ve been booking hotel rooms in Martinez and Concord since 2016, so I have 4 that I tend to choose from. The Muir Lodge is at the top of my list for cleanliness, modern interior style, bed, and location (highways and downtowns). They refurbished their rooms some years back; I’d have to ask exactly when but the interior style still makes me feel good every time I open the a door to stay here. The elegance and style mixed into the simplicity of a room - just works.
A great quiet and relaxing spot with dedicated spaces for me to get work done and backyard seating facing Alhambra Creek. Thoughtful snack selection, a clean comfortable bed and fantastic shower. Loved the dedicated parking spot which made parking very easy on an otherwise small road (normal for older Martinez streets). Felt like a nice safe road and is really close to downtown Martinez as well as easy freeway access to all the surrounding cities.
The motel pickings are slim in Martinez, many of them subpar. This one rises above the rest plus it is adjacent to the Muir National Park. I have stayed here many times before and have always been satisfied. Of course, it has no full breakfast but there is a Jack in the Box right across the street.
Very clean, updated, old school type motel. Modern amenities, Shower was perhaps the best hotel/motel shower I have encountered - great water pressure. Nice touch of breakfast Danishes in room . Very reasonable rate. Helpful staff
I loved the location of the hotel and the friendliness of the staff. The woman who checked me in did everything she could to make sure I was comfortable and enjoyed my stay.
