Midland is not the town that you would purposely visit. It is more ''pass by'' town to spend the night and continue with the trip. I stayed at the Grand Texan Hotel and Convention Center for one night before I went back to work. It was a terrible experience. PLEASE don't waste your money. The bed and pillow were dirty. The towels were dirty. The soap was even dirty. The coffee was expired four years ago. They advertised a shuttle service from the airport to the hotel. That was non existent. They also advertised a pool. It was out of order. After I reached out to the hotel to let them know about my experience, they refused to make it right. We visited children and grandchildren for Thanksgiving.
We visited children and grandchildren for Thanksgiving. There is not a whole lot to do, but we came to spend time with family and did not seek much outside of spending time with family. Getting around was easy and we visited the Cinergy Movie theater and that was a blast for the grandchildren. We enjoyed our stay and visit. It really depends on what you like to do.J - 10Scored 10

We were just passing through Midland with our puppy aboard on an extended trip west. The Home2 Suites are a blessing for travelers with pets, easy access to rooms, fast elevators and nice green spaces to walk your dog. The rooms are large, with good wifi and television plus a regular refrigerator/freezer.

If you grew up in Midland it's a great place to stay. It brought back a lot of memories. The city has changed and grown so much. But it's still so easy to get around town. Especially downtown, lol.
