SpringHill Suites by Marriott Waterford / Mystic, hotel in New London

This Waterford hotel is off Interstate 95 and is adjacent to the New London Mall Shopping Center. The hotel features an indoor pool and a flat-screen TV in every room.

Breakfast was very good, ample and with many options. It was easy to come in and self-serve, and we were able to take out a breakfast sandwich for my daughter who slept late. The room was much bigger than I would have expected (a plus), faced a quiet backyard of nature rather than the highway (a plus!), and we slept well.

I went to the bathroom at 1am and a mouse ran in after me.

I went to the bathroom at 1am and a mouse ran in after me. I reported to the desk and was out of the hotel by 2pm. I was told that "Connecticut mid summer that mice were very common". They must like holidaying in New England too. The Help Desk guy was helpful otherwise and was the most redeeming part of this premises. Not a great night as you can imagine. I wonder if Booking.com customer service desk will ever get their help desk line fixed so I can get my money back? ? ?

Amazing history, architecture, food and views! Make sure to do a ferry tour, the lighthouse tour is awesome. Dine in downtown. Make sure to check out the sun base, electric boat, the nautilus museum…. Do visit the great places around new London county like mystic seaport and aquarium, rocky neck beach in niantic and adventure throughout…. History around every corner as you take in the gorgeous historic homes and lavish woods, rocks, and historic parks everywhere ❤️ And of course Ocean Beach and Casinos

New London is an amazing city with so much to offer.

New London is an amazing city with so much to offer. Beaches and History restaurants galore. You cannot simply do everything in one weekend either a week or a few planned weekends and you will be able to explore so much. Paul’s Pasta was more amazing than I remembered but make sure you’re ready for a wait cause a place this good be sure to be ready for a long wait. The sub base museum was amazing w the kiddos they truly enjoyed it as well as Fort Griswold. Ocean Beach Park was the highlight of our trip spending our days at the beach and in the pool was so much fun.

Location was good. Beds comfy. No living room or seating. We brought in small folding metal table and chairs for two so we could sit and eat. Great price and clean. Owners are upstairs. Expect noise. Very nice of owners to provide toiletries. Free parking on street. Dog friendly.

The hotel was ok for one night. The restaurant at night was ok, service actually was not good. Food was ok. Breakfast was ok, service there, too. I would not stay there for longer. The location was good, due to the fact, that we took the cross sound ferry the next day.

Traveled with our Vizsla. It was great to have a fenced in yard in the back to let her off leash. Host was responsive. There is plenty of room to stretch out and two separate bedrooms. Much preferred to staying in a hotel. Off street parking is a plus.

Located in a quiet area. Only a short walk from the centre of New London and it's port and train station. King room was large and spacious. Good facilities (including self-service laundry and luggage storage). Staff were friendly and very accommodating.

I did like the fact that there was an indoor pool and a pretty decent continental breakfast with hot items and close to New London and Groton. There is a grocery store near bye as well to purchase items needed even if you don’t have a car.
