I visited for two days to attend the wake and funeral of a much older cousin and to visit with many relatives still living in the area. I went for one night to see the westfields mall for retail. I didn't realise that the whole of NJ is BYOB at all restaurants. My colleague had to walk to a bottle store to get some beers to have at dinner. Paramus is a great location for visiting the local area and...
Paramus is a great location for visiting the local area and even for going into NYC. It has 3 malls, including, I think one of the largest in NJ. It has plenty of convenience stores / gas stations. You do have to know your way around a bit especially around the convergence of Routes 4 and 17, but its central location and plenty of bus routes and even train availability into NYC make it the perfect place for a short stay. There are plenty of fast / semi-fast / and nice dining in the area as well. Again - you do have to know where to go - but I'm thinking that Trip Advisor and Yelp can be helpful with that. Bathroom was not designed well. Very little space for the counter. Staff didn’t care much when asked where the ice machine was located. I had to come back and ask more for getting a clarification. The hotel is about 40 mins drive from Newark airport. The check-in and check-out was quick and fast. The front desk was very helpful. The room was spacious, clean and could accommodate 4 of us on the two Queen beds. The bathroom was clean and well maintained. The breakfast buffet was exceptional. Will definitely recommend this place for anyone travelling to this area.

We were quite a bit earlier than chek-in time, but the lady on duty (sorry I did not notice her name) was incredibly nice and gave us a room anyway. This is definitely an hotel we'll go back to when visiting NYC. A+++++
