Cute mainstreet which is a ways off the freeway. People are pleasant. Would not recommend staying at the La Quinta...choose the new Holiday Inn Express instead. We stayed here to be near Starved Rock as Oglesby properties were booked up.

We came here to escape city life and this is the perfect...
We came here to escape city life and this is the perfect place to do it. With three connecting cities, Utica, Lasalle, and Peru, 3 state parks and lots of nature this the perfect place to be. We did not get into Starved Rock due to limited Parking but Mattisen State Park was just as nice , and muddy :) We also found a great brunch place, Nonie's bakery & Cafe. Good Food. Have a great time :)
