I'm a local not a traveler who's stayed there several times.

I'm a local not a traveler who's stayed there several times. It's a clean and comfortable facility. Staff is outstanding; will always be sure you have clean towels, tp, pick up your room trash, etc. Management was a big disappointment this time. They removed the public microwave in the lobby. The morning coffee was unavailable for several days because "the wrong kind was sent." Management could have gone across the street to a supermarket and bought coffee in the interim but did not. During several hot days the pool was chain locked with no adequate explanation of why it was not open. Management needs to do better.

The people staying at the hotel, which I think are full time...

The people staying at the hotel, which I think are full time residents seemed really nice and polite. Actually the staff in the office were polite but the hotel is outdated and very dirty. Almost every place we tried to eat was gross except Sizzler but it was mediocre. Stay away from KFC here. Hard, stale, biscuits. old chicken and fries that have set for hours. This is the first KFC I couldn't eat! We didn't venture out much as we were there meetings. Oh, there is a little dog park but I wouldn't recommend letting your dog or you in it. You could barely see the grass because of the poop that is very evidently not picked up by it's users.

I would never recommend this place to watch you to the TV.

I would never recommend this place to watch you to the TV. The front desk .it housekeeping are all in kahoots.. and the flex bus driver but to drug addicts you could buy sell anything there all hours of the night all the city of panola needs to close it down.

    Surroundings were dull.

Surroundings were dull. No decorations ie: our one blanket had cigarette burns in them. There was no bedspreads on the beds, ie: beds had a bottom sheets, a thin raggedy blanket and then another sheet over the blanket as the bedspreads. My 11year old grandson secretly called his parents crying and told them that he was “scared because the place is so run down.” No soaps or shampoos or conditioner, towels were thin, but clean. Pool was closed. No comfortable seating except the beds. Toilet seat was detached from its base on one side. Horrible stay. It was in a good area, centrally located around shopping, movies, and places to eat, but I wouldn’t embarrass myself by recommending the motel to anyone. On our way back to Washington we stopped over in Medford Oregon and stayed next door to the Motel 6 at the Days Inn. Beautiful place, well kept, secure. We swam, slept well and went school shopping before heading home. Thank you for your interest in my experience.

I was staying there for two weeks as I was moving.

I was staying there for two weeks as I was moving. I ate at the local restaurants nearby which are mostly chains but are okay. I suggest you google for places in Oakland as it's the latest hot spot for great restaurants in the Bay Area. You need to drive to get around Pinole. There are brochures in the lobby if you want to do some sightseeing or tours around the Bay Area. My personal favorite is to take the Richmond ferry to San Francisco and wander around the city--North Beach, Chinatown, etc., using public transportation and your feet. Avoid driving there. You'll see much more and get a feel for the bay and city.
