Loved everything about the place but wish we knew ahead of time what type of coffee maker was there. Ate at some fabulous places near by, loved Rivera Bar & Grill! Easy to get around and stores close by. I would highly recommend this place!

We were very excited to explore Punta Gorda.
We were very excited to explore Punta Gorda. We originally had accomodations at Ft Myers but was contacted after hurricane In Nov 2022 that our hotel stay was not possible. Our excitement soon turn to nightmare when we arrived at our hotel that we booked thru Booking.com and found it boarded up and closed. After scrambling to get rooms at several different hotels we found Punta Gorda very pleasing as far as walking to places and the restaurants and bars being very friendly with good food and drinks. Was not real touristy with tshirts being sold on every corner like you find in other areas. We also had beautiful weather. Enjoyed the live music in the bars. Hotel situation sucked but Punta Gorda was a nice place to visit!

Good central location for travelers wanting to go north on the Florida gulf side OR south on the Florida gulf side.
Punta Gorda pluses are: Peace River Wildlife Center (bird sanctuary) and Carmelo's Italian restaurant. The restaurant has a very nice outside dining area. Make sure you get reservations, as it gets very busy.

The worst experience I ever had at a hotel .
The worst experience I ever had at a hotel . Wi fi not working and my son works remotely at nite. Had to go somewhere else to work late at night. Tv not working. No breakfast. The manager rude and just said leave it you do t like it. I am 82 years old and we had already unpacked and it was 9 pm as we had dinner out so didn’t notice all of these things before we left for dinner. Impossible to find another hotel. The whole experience was disgusting.

Delayed check-in after a 3 hour drive did not give good first impression (although front desk staff was friendly!). Room was "sub-standard" based on stays at other venues - bottom of doors were warped/peeling; bed sheets had stains on them. Good thing that the general area (Punta Gorda) had other attractions to keep us occupied while waiting for room.
Carmelo's restaurant just across street was a good dinner spot - albeit, very crowded (had made reservations there 2 weeks in advance and still had to wait for table!) Fisherman's Village was a good find with lots of restaurants and shops.

Internet and tv kept going off.
Internet and tv kept going off. Door key was wonky, 5 times and it might work. Pillows were soft. Popcorn from previous vacationers was in couch cushions. Pool water was freezing. Need new chaise lounges.,they wer breaking apart.. tv was too small.
Booking.com needs to take this property off of your active list. due to flight delays we arrived at the hotel at 11:30 pm to discover they have been closed since the hurricane for repairs. After checking out every fully booked hotel in a 40 mile radius we finally we finally arrived at our final destination and woke up our trip hosts at 3:30 in the morning. NIT A GOOD EXPERIENCE.
My room had a nice view of the harbor when looking out the window. Everyone was very nice and helpful. The hotel is very clean. The breakfast was good. It had hot and cold items. Along with a juice machine. I appreciated the water bottles along with the filtered water bottle filler in the gym. I would definitely stay here again!!
It was a pleasant surprise to stay here . What very nice suites. 2 bedrooms, large living/kitchen area and balcony... The hotel front desk staff was very welcoming . The shops and restaurant were very convenient and made for an easy visit with family.
I liked how attentive housekeeping was. Not a day went by that our room wasn’t attended to. We always had fresh towels. Also the room was so clean, I never saw one bug our entire stay inside or outside the hotel. I would stay at any Wyndham hotel again!
Everything! We road tripped from the Punta Gorda airport, arrived late at night and departed early so this place was very convenient for us. Much easier to just let ourselves in with a code than deal with hotel checkin.
This is the way a hotel should be run the staff was friendly The View was beautiful the bed was comfortable and it was exceptionally clean and to my surprise the restaurant was excellent really good
Room was very comfortable. Beds were comfortable too. The breakfast was served with hot and cold type breakfast foods. The room was very clean. We enjoyed our stay while in Punta Gorda.
I like the size of the king room. It was very clean and spacious. The breakfast was great. Best hotel breakfast I’ve seen. I also was able to check in early as my room was ready.
