The night desk attendant was not at the desk for at least 20 minutes when we arrived for check in. He did his job once he showed up but very unprofessional
Cute town. We stayed there when we went to Lexington for a concert. It was a nice spot for a romantic get away. Beautiful scenery, lovely little downtown shops, and close enough to Lexington for the stadium concert that we were attending.

We loved staying in Versailles.
We loved staying in Versailles. The town was charming and we ate at local restaurants that did not disappoint! Ate lunch at Ricardo's Grill & Pub and dinner at Melissa Cottage Café. Would recommend these restaurants. Melissa Cottage Café has great southern food and reasonably priced.

Versailles is a quaint, historic town. We chose to stay there overnight because of Charred Oaks Inn, an excellent B & B in town. From there, we were only a short drive to other area attractions.

It was a quaint town with so many beautiful “farms” (actually horse ranches) just outside the city limits. It was also the perfect spot to visit your favorite distillary, Woodford Reserve, Makers Mark, and many others.
Don’t make the mistake of pronouncing Versailles like the French do if you have been to Versailles, France. In Kentucky it is pronounced Ver-Sails!
