We HAD TO change rooms: the first room was unbelievably noisy because of disfunctional airco and other loud apparatus on the roof. Moreover the room had a distinct ‘smell’: a combination of something ugly and roomspray. Suffocating.
The second room was really good! The hotel team was great though!

We go to Visalia for a convention.
We go to Visalia for a convention. The home was not the blue cottage as there was a last minute problem with the dates we stayed at the Retro modern Home. It was lovely. Very roomy. Close to Convention Center and close to shopping. The Black Bear Diner was very close.

Nice place we stayed on our road trip heading to Sequoia park. A little noisy because it was next to a main road, but ideal to get to and set off the next morning. The pool was nice and the area around it was lovely to relax after a long day of driving. It could be accessed by the back door of all the bedrooms and there were benches to sit on. Would go again. I don't think there were many cheaper options than this when we were searching.

Close to Sequoia National Park and Kings Canyon.
Close to Sequoia National Park and Kings Canyon. Visalia is a wonderful little town with fun diners and cafes. Good time diner is a 50’s theme restaurant with fabulous food at great prices. There is also Granny’s cafe with tasty breakfasts in an old time setting. Mama K’s is a very popular Resturant with the locals located in a stick yard auction building.

Stayed in Visalia to visit both Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. Although it was a great hotel it was farther than expected to both parks. And, once you arrived at the park entrances, the drive in to the sites was very far. I would recommend staying in the parks if possible. Visalia downtown was cute with many dining options and breweries.

I love a hot cup of tea before going to sleep and a cup of coffee or tea in the morning. Miss not having a coffee pot in the room. Since I come to visit my family I don’t need a plush room so this works well. Checking in was quick and simple, thank you to staff.
Room was large, very clean, well appointed, and welcoming. Bed was appropriately firm, refrigerator was good sized and it was a plus to have coffee making gear in the room. We did not use the pool or watch TV so can't speak to those items. Parking was easy, check in quick and efficient and most importantly for us, the room and hotel were quiet.
Room next door was literally using a drill for some reason and was using it all night long. When reported to front desk they called the room next door sound of drill stop for 5 min and then continued again. Called front desk and they did nothing about it. I had to suffer not just for one night but 2 nights . Zero stars if i could
Rose was amazing! she made me feel right at home. The room was clean and cozy door with a lock and key. Bathroom was nice and clean however being it states private gives the impression it's located in the same room, but it is a shared area. Night one was great night two not as comfortable sharing with another guest that arrived.
The hotel is located near the convention center in old town Visalia. The room was large and comfy. The breakfast offered said continental but it was a full breakfast with scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, bacon, yogurt, muffins, waffles, hard boiled eggs and beverages. The offering was from 0530 to 0930. It was perfect.
Helpful staff. Room comfy. Nice breakfast- even better if there would be a variety of fruit. (I note fruit options have been poor in many of the breakfasts at hotels we used in California)
Enjoyed making ourselves fresh waffles.
It is a 2 star hotel, so one shouldn't expect a 4 star hotel. The staff was very nice and helpful! Especially Mr. A K Patel who helped carrying luggage upstairs and even helped with a tool to fix a wheel on a suitcase.
The spacious spaces are very pleasant for the nine people who traveled together. The rooms are very comfortable, the living room and the dining room too. The apartment is very useful for dividing a large group.
Everything except they gave me a hard time about using my credit card the same one I paid for the room with they didn’t want to let lid use it for the deposit. Eventually they did but it was ridiculous.
This is a good hotel for one night, if you're going to Sequoia National Park or are passing by. Comfy and clean, but a bit outdated. Nothing too worrying, would stay again when passing by.
