west valley city is a bustling city, you have good areas and bad. signs of gang activity but very little homelessness was evident. shopping was close by and there was some entertainment but for variety you need to travel to salt lake city or south to west Jordan/Murray area. nice place to visit. having grown up in the salt lake valley this area is not one i would chose to live in.

West Valley has become a very social and big city it seems not that long ago it was the arm pit of Salt Lake but it has blossomed into it own self and matured very well. The diversity is what sets it apart from all other cities around. It has a wide range of different types of food and all of it is pretty spectacular.
Nasty, dirty, horrible, uncomfortable, disgusting, poor service, gross, etc only bad things. I would rather sleep outside than sleep in this hotel. So nasty, I would not recommend here unless it’s your last option, like it was in my case. I booked the room for 1 week but left my 3rd day and did not care because I couldn’t last staying another night. The room was so dirty when we got it. Nothing was cleaned. I told the staff if we could get house keeping and they asked me how long did I stay there, at the time I stayed 3 days so far, they told me I had to stay 2 weeks for house keeping to come. Then told me they have a broom I could borrow to clean the room myself. House keeping only cleans every 2 weeks. There were so many bugs. The staff seemed like they didn’t want to help but had to because it’s their job. The old man in the front desk sucks at his job. I said excuse my 3 times while he was on his phone and he ignored me. Then said with attitude 2 minutes later “what”? Very poor service. The hotel stinks in the hallways and elevator. It just feels dirty and uncomfortable to where you can’t sleep peacefully. I was uncomfortable the entire stay. I couldn’t sleep at all because of how dirty it was. The water was also yellow/brown. I didn’t even want to shower nor brush my teeth because of how nasty it was. The ac even felt dirty. EVERYTHING in that room/about this hotel is nasty and dirty. Taking off your shoes and walking barefoot felt sticky and gross. You’d have so much dirt on your foot just by walking in that room. Your foot wouldn’t last staying clean walking on those floors. So much more, but I’ll leave it at this. Never ever EVER again. 1st and LAST time for sure. Not worth your money! They need to shut down this hotel or make it .25 cents a night the money it’s actually worth. :(

In addition to the overall cleanliness of the room, attention to detail can also make a difference. For example, a clean hotel room will have no dust on the baseboards, no cobwebs in the corners, and no smudges on the mirrors or windows.

My wife enjoy staying at the Chrystal Inn in West Valley because it haslarge, clean, and comfortable rooms. We also love their brekafast, even though it appears that their options are decreasing. We did not see the sweet pastries and their toaster was not working.

Great place while traveling with kids, they loved the slides and pools. The breakfast was good except of a warm juice and water! They did not clean our room during our 4d long stay (we requested light cleaning). Employees were very nice.

The room was clean and roomy. I liked that there was refrigerator and dining table. Bed was comfortable. Shuttle to airport. Convenient to airport. We did not eat breakfast at hotel breakfast bar, so nothing to note. We opted to go across the street to cracker barrel. There were nearby food options for dinner. Area appeared safe. Employees helped us donate a cooler to charity that we were not taking with us. Very helpful, as we don't like to needlessly put things in a landfill. Pleasant staff.
Very nice large room with seating area and bedroom. Breakfast included which is nice to have. Quiet location in West City easy to get to on the freeway. Many restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. Laundry and pool available for guests. We visited the Red Butte gardens and the Natural History Museum, near the university campus east of the city.
I liked the friendly staff. I liked that the pool and hot tub were open. The hotel was clean and was nice in the inside. I liked that they had breakfast. I also liked that it was very quiet and the location was good.
We were visiting Kindig-It the next day and the hotel had a great location for this visit. The staff were friendly. We were given a room that had recently been remodelled. We were very very happy.
The hotel was nice and spacious. The room was decent sized as well. I like the separate bedroom from the living room area. It worked for the 2 nights we were there.
Location was good, very central in West Valley City. Room was very spacious and Breakfast very nice. We already returned once and hope to come back in the future.
Hotel was great, rooms very spacious, felt like a small apartment. Good location too, I think anyway - we were here for dinner and a stopover but worked for us.
