Wow, what can I say...
I received a very warm welcome here. I only had one night here as I had to leave for the airport the very next day.
The very obliging lady at reception advised me to order a taxi for the next day so that I could catch my flight on time. Apparently Uber was not always as reliable here as I was told. However, as I only had an eSim card (internet) for my cell phone, I couldn't make any calls. She kindly took care of that for me. What's more, I hadn't exchanged any cash either. I thought you could pay for almost everything by card here. Think again... The cab company in Winthrop only takes cash. Now the friendliness, generosity and hospitality was topped by a lot. As the lady at reception knew about my cash balance😂 she simply found 25 dollars for me. That is not a matter of course. I really didn't expect so much kindness and helpfulness and didn't ask for it. This review is also not intended to encourage you to always come here without cash. I simply want to share this great experience that I was able to have.
Great atmosphere, great people who work here. Many thanks for everything! I will always recommend this hotel to others ❤️

Breakfast was ok; I did not have to use the shuttle, but I could see that it was operating constantly; I chose the location because it's very convenient for the airport.

The staff at the Seaport are fantastic, nothing is too much trouble and they'll do anything they can to help you and make your stay enjoyable. If you are going for the marathon they really take care of you. Free shuttle bus to the buses at Boston common, pasta party the night before, take away breakfast on race day and facilities for spectators to make signs to support their runners. All much appreciated by my husband who ran the marathon.
The room was nice, comfortable and quiet. You are 2 minutes walk from the WTC silver line stop so getting from/to the airport and around Boston is very easy. I would stay at the Seaport again in a heartbeat.

You can walk to the hotel from the airport (15 minutes, but on a covered pathway, hard to find and old, but it's a good preparation for the discovery of the hotel itself)
The lobby is nice.

It was very close to the Boston Marathon bus loading and finish line, which was the primary purpose for staying there.

Our flight was really late, so didn't get to enjoy this lovely place and neighborhood as much as I would've liked. Did get to walk over to the water and see planes go in and out. And saw a few boats. Was able to walk to a restaurant downtown to pick up dinner at 10pm. Bout a 10 min walk. Nice downtown.

Winthrop was a great town!
Winthrop was a great town! We walked to the yacht clubs and Deer Island - enjoyed the beach front, picking up shells and clams, and the local restaurants had some pretty good food! Try D'Parma and Woody's! Bus transportation was great (except on Sunday) so we didn't need a rental to get anywhere we wanted.

Our stay at the Crystal Cove Inn was nice.
Our stay at the Crystal Cove Inn was nice. The office and check in staff were exceptional and went above and beyond to ensure that you had what you needed. The room we stayed in appeared to have been recently renovated and had a small full kitchen with granite counter top. The room although somewhat small was adequate and comfortable for two people. It had a nice harbor view. The grounds were well kept and the pool was nice to swim in.
The inn is fairly close to the airport but the sound of the air conditioner masked most of the sound of the airplanes taking off and landing. That fact could be an issue in the fall when an air conditioner isn't needed or used.
Overall I would recommend staying here. It's far away enough to find peace and tranquility but close enough to everything if you want something to do.

Winthrop is close enough to Boston to get in on all the action, but it's far enough away to have real peace and quiet. We definitely loved staying here!
If you happen to stay in Winthrop you have to go to Nick's Place and eat. We ate there every day of our vacation. The food was very good and affordable!

Quiet area but with good restaurants - D'Parma and Adriatic Restaurant worth visiting, though D'Parma was packed on the Monday evening so worth booking ahead. Food at D'Parma was great Italian and you can take your own bottle. Adriatic had a full bar, local craft beers, the food was Mediterranean and authentic.

Winthrop is easy to get around by foot, car, or bus.
Winthrop is easy to get around by foot, car, or bus. Very safe and friendly community. Recommend D'Palma Restaurant for Italian food, and Belle Isle Seafood. Both offer casual dining with good food for a reasonable price.
The staff were courteous and helpful, and the rooms were clean. The hotel is close to the ocean where we could take a walk. The restaurant has excellent food for dinner. The rooms on the ocean side have a beautiful view. We enjoyed the historical nature of the hotel. There is no breakfast served at the hotel, but I appreciated the Keurig coffee in the hotel room. A little creamer was in each refrigerator. No microwaves are in the rooms. There is not an elevator, so it helps to have light luggage.
The perfect location the night before a flight. We actually wished we had arrived a few days earlier to enjoy the property and town more. Very charming. Rooms were clean. Secure with a code to get in and out. The area and hotel felt very safe. There is a restaurant and bar downstairs. We didn’t have a chance to eat there but the menu looked good.
We stayed in the King with Ocean view, and it was beautiful. The hotel is undergoing renovations, but our room was well cleaned and furnished. It had a great kitchenette. I was very happy with how quiet the room was... even during a busy saturday dinner crowd in the restaurant, we couldnt hear any noise from downstairs
The room and bathroom were clean. Great information was provided about the property and the area. The neighborhood was quiet and quaint and the local dining options were fantastic. The convenience to the airport was fantastic and the price much more reasonable than airport hotels.
It's a nice and typical hotel in Winthrop near the beach. We had an appartment with a separate bedroom that is also an advantage when travelling with kids. A coffee maker with free coffee was provided. A walk to the beach only takes 5 minutes.
We liked the area. Winthrop is a lovely community just north of the airport. The room was large and comfortable. Loved the king sized bed. Breakfast was tasty and there are several very good restaurants within walking distance.
Our room was perfect with everything we needed; the ambience of the hotel was wonderful. The restaurant was excellent. Everyone was cordial. We met the owner, Casey & his dad, Doc. This made our experience more personal.
Cozy, very clean, and welcoming B&B. The host has thought of everything. Winthrop is a nice area for a morning stroll and very convenient location by the airport. Leagues more interesting than an airport hotel.
Friendly helpful staff. Excellent food and drink. Comfortable sized rooms. Much better value than airport hotels and still only 15 minutes to airport. If staying longer is 2 min walk to beach.
Cute old hotel built in 1916. Restaurant on main level. Room had a separate bedroom with a living room. Quiet and comfortable beds. Bath was nice. Kurig coffee maker.
My stay at the Winthrop was perfect. The sea friendly staff, the sea view, the comfortable rooms and the location made it wonderful. I highly recommend this hotel!
the old world feel in a gorgeous hotel! everything is super clean and the staff was so nice! The bar and restaurant are wonderful! amazing ocean views.
