Dong Hoi has some beautiful beaches by the resorts, but there really isn't much else going on. There seemed to be 1-2 streets where you could shop or buy things, and there was no nightlife. Caves are really a great attraction to visit in Vietnam! In addition to the caves and nature, we enjoyed the river view and walking along the river. We visited the other side of the river where the locals live in small picturesque houses.

In addition to the friendly and helpful man at the front desk, we were welcomed by children in the street and a group of older guests at the hotel. If you have the chance to go to Dong Hoi, book this accommodation and you will have an absolute pleasant stay! The room was clean with nice rattan furnitures. I got free water and a rambutan snack in the afternoon. It was really great. Thank you so much once again for all your help!

Easily the nicest hostel I’ve stayed at in Vietnam. The owner was so lovely and checked me in at 2am when my bus was delayed… the dorm was very nice with a hot shower.
