It was our 4th stay at 3 Queen Street and definitely not the last. You can find our previous comments, so no need to repeat again how perfect it is. It is the best house we had on all our South Africa Trips and we come back to Calitzdorp twica a year only to enjoy our stay in this house again.

@19 Queenstreet, hotel in Calitzdorp

Situated in Calitzdorp, 1 km from Calitzdorp Railway Station and 49 km from Ladismith Golf Club, @19 Queenstreet offers a garden and air conditioning.

Beautiful room, really well decorated with artwork, well spaced out and nice touches. One of the best sleeps we had during our trip. Hosts were welcoming and brought us an umbrella in case we needed as was raining hard. In the morning they had left out a flask of hot water for tea and coffee because there had been a power outage. Would not stay anywhere else in the area but here again. We were not expecting it to be this good as had just booked a few hours before when realising it was getting late and we were not going to make it to next town - so glad we did.

Die Bakhius was great for a easy supper.

Die Bakhius was great for a easy supper. TTT wines and "the liquor that cannot be called Port" were excellent The architecture is interesting. The weather was exceptionally hot and you may, ideally, want to go in autumn or spring, for example, during the Port Festival

Challenged myself by walking a few miles from Calitzdorp...

Challenged myself by walking a few miles from Calitzdorp towards Oudtshoorn on the R62 ,enjoying the last of the Autumn sun.Alongside the road lot of cars past me,i didnt care about them. I was surounded by the beautiful landscape of Mountains ,karoo bossies and clear blue sky.Got a few honks from the heavy vehicles passing me by.That encouraged me even more .Made the walk pleasant experience.Few miles from my destination,i got tired and gave in.Got a lift from passing car.My phone was off.Must say pictures could not do justice for this walk. Must experience it your self. My resting place tonight is amazing .....i needed this ,after hectic working long weekend.Favorite place were the Museum. They also have bikes to hire at the Calitzdorp Tourism centre near the garage.Winetesting with the friendly staff

This little Klein Karoo town has a wonderful bygone era...

This little Klein Karoo town has a wonderful bygone era atmosphere. It's quiet, and all the amenities are closely set among the town centre, making walking around a great way to discover little hidden gems, like the Museum. There are plenty of wine tasting options too, some further away that would need the use of a car. Restaurant options are limited, which is disappointing. I also felt quite safe walking around, which was a great bonus! Go, you'll enjoy it, and two nights is enough!

No fine dining but great for wine tasting.

No fine dining but great for wine tasting. We sampled The Kranz under their grape vines, The Calitzdorp Cellar (stunning terrace view), Boplass. Lastly driving down a safe gravel road so typical of being off the beaten track and stopping at Du Swa Roo where we enjoyed informal fun tasting wines with the delightful and knowledgable Riana, sampling wine and tapas. We hope to return one day:)

Calitzdorp is good for one or two nights stay.

Calitzdorp is good for one or two nights stay. It is a small town with not too much to do, about five lovely wine farms and a historical walk through town. Not many options at night where to have a meal although we did find the Bakhuis, with devine pizza's. I would definitely want to go back but this time to do some hiking trails and mtb.

Lovely historical town on the Route 62.

Lovely historical town on the Route 62. Visits to Boplaas and De Krants for port & wine (& gin & whisky) tastings are a MUST DO. De Krants offers a lovely breakfast and GREAT COFFEE, both of which are impossible to find on a Monday morning in Calitzdorp

The hosts extended a warm and friendly welcome. Situated in a tranquil Calitzdorp neighborhood, the guest house offers convenient access to the main road and excellent dining options. Our room was generously sized, equipped with a Nespresso machine and snacks. We thoroughly enjoyed the exceptional breakfast at Port Guesthouse and are glad that we chose to stay for it.

The cottage is attractively-built and decorated with personality and care. The fine art, interesting crockery, soft furnishings and books are nice touches and we enjoyed the sounds of the stream at night and the views of masses of stars. The dirt-road drive there from Calitzdorp is also very scenic, with twists and turns and great views of the dam.

Perfectly located for visiting the port wine producers of Calitzdorp, and with friendly and welcoming staff (and the lovely dog, Liefie). Our room (Zebra) was spacious and very quiet. We enjoyed dinner at the restaurant on site, which was tasty and very reasonably priced. Breakfast in the morning was also very enjoyable.

This beautiful cottage is fit for a magazine feature, it's superbly furnished and decorated, with everything you need for an off-the-grid get away/hide-away. Joe, the host, was friendly and very accommodating. It's located in the picturesque Groenfontein valley just outside of Calitzdorp, you wouldn't want to leave.

Colleen and Kevin are such warm and welcoming hosts. They suggested a restaurant for dinner and also made the reservation for me. The unit I stayed in was lovely, spacious and really comfortable. The stoep with the view of the town church steeple is ideal for a cup of coffee in the morning.
