Majeka House, hotel in Helderberg

Located on a private garden estate in Stellenbosch, Majeka House features a spa, a gourmet restaurant and a large, heated, communal indoor pool.

From the moment we stepped into this hotel, I knew I was in for a treat. The facilities were top-notch, with the heated pool being a delightful escape from the outside world. The staff, both at the hotel and Spa, were incredibly friendly and accommodating, adding a personal touch to my stay. Our room exceeded expectations with its spacious layout and a bed very comfortable. The quiet air conditioner ensured uninterrupted sleep. One of the highlights was the Nespresso coffee provided in the room, a small touch that made morning feel indulgent. And let's not forget the breakfast – delicious and abundant, it set the perfect tone for the day ahead. The massage at the Spa was truly amazing, melting away any tension and leaving us feeling utterly rejuvenated. In summary, this hotel offers a haven of relaxation and luxury. From the inviting pool to the impeccable service, every aspect of my stay was exceptional. I can't recommend it enough for anyone seeking a memorable and revitalizing getaway.

We had the most amazing stay. Stayed for 3 nights over Easter weekend. Everything was exquisite, from the pre-arrival communication, check in, room (finishes, amenities, plunge pool, peace & quiet), breakfast, dinner at Clara’s Barn/ Guewels, wine tasting. The staff were all amazing. The team has done an amazing job in creating a stunning experience that’s also great value for money. Will definitely be back.

Magnificent historical homestead, set amongst the most beautiful gardens and gigantic old oak trees. Our bedroom in the Manor House absolutely luxurious and gorgeous. Delicious breakfast every morning and a complimentary wine tasting which we all loved. Have savoured every moment shared with our girls who have stayed in their own rooms in the equally as beautiful Jonkershuis beside us. We highly recommend anyone coming to stay and enjoy Blaauwklippen which is steeped in history and showcases art displayed within their Wine Tasting area. Visiting the wine farms was great!

Visiting the wine farms was great! We visited Somerbosch with our trip. We also had a quick bite to eat at The Thirsty Scarecrow. We loved the pizzas at Ishushu from their trailer at Steynsrust bridge. The scenic drives along the coast, especially to Rooi Els and Betty'sbay was breathtaking. Don't skip a coffee and toastie at Coffee on the Go in Gordonsbay. Will need to go back for another month to get to see all they have to offer.
