Quietness is only interrupted by local domestic and wild animals during the night, which also gives special countryside vibe. :) It is good that they offer food, especially breakfast and dinner, because there are only two restaurants located 15 to 20 minutes by car. Food was good, as well us domestic hard liquor. They have mosquito nets on windows and our room was mosquito free, but make sure you take your own repellents for sitting outside and going into nature. Room was rustical, traditional, clean and just like on the photos. Linen and towels were nice and clean. They have bikes for rent, which was nice experience - most of those small villages near river and swamps are located in a radius of approximately 20 km.

Lovely lady Slavica was so kind, she offered us the garden vegetables to pick, we had everything we needed...

The Ravlic family are welcoming and generous, and we especially appreciated sharing a glass with Niksa and hearing his fascinating stories and insights into daily life (and the wildlife) of the Lonjsko polje. In the village, storks were nesting everywhere and a short walk let us see wild.boars and free range horses. What a warm welcome to a unique world. We hope to come back again.
