We went for skiing. The ski resort is medium sized (19 km) with wide slopes in the forest, suitable for inexperienced skiers - like us :) There are favorable prices for children under 10 years. The lifts are in good condition. Must be nice in the summer as well.

The staff was super friendly, on the first night we arrived a bit later due to the traffic but they waited for us with the dinner. The food was excellent, great dinner and even better breakfast. The hotel is a bit old-fashioned, with nice but oldish furniture, overall that's not a problem since everything was functioning properly. The bar was open till 10 pm and we could take our drinks by the fireplace. The sauna and pool are a huge advantage as well as the location - close to the ski areal.MoncaHošCzech Republic

If you like hiking, love nature, you just cannot pick a better place. The options where to go or what to do are endless. It is a must-visit. The owner is a local guy (fluent also in English), who literally knows everything. Beyond the lovely appartement we got excellent insights and tips about destinations, restaurant, hiding treasures. Wonderful apartment, comfortable, clean, spacious, the kitchen is also equipped with everything. I really liked the division of the rooms. If we visit Lackenhof, we will definitely come back here, we spent pleasant days here. The Alps are amazing, downtown Lackenhof is a 10-minute-walk. Both apartments that we booked are very nicely furnished. Staff is reactive and helpful.

Cross country skiing trails are just in the front of the house and Lackenhof ski resort can be reached by car in couple of minutes.
