Sun-drenched and laidback, Perth is simply a joy to be in. However, the West Australian capital does have tourist attractions, such as the Colonial-era mint, important in the country’s gold industry. East is the WACA, a must-see for cricket fans, and the city is also mad for Aussie Rules football.
The city centre has the historic Government House and Supreme Court, both dwarfed by the ultra-modern skyscrapers a few streets behind. The best skyline view is from leafy King’s Park, near the War Memorial overlooking the Swan River below, named after its black swans. Across the river in Perth Zoo are more native animals including koalas, crocodiles and free-hopping kangaroos.
Boats to the zoo leave from the Barrack Street jetty by a sail-shaped bell tower. Other day trips from Perth include Rottnest Island and Fremantle, down the river in the opposite direction from Perth Airport.
The apartments, B&Bs and hotels in Perth are spread all over this fantastic city, interspersed with restaurants serving specialities such as western rock lobster and chilli mussels. There is also a wealth of bars, many playing the indie music that the city is known for. Local brews from the Swan Brewery and wines from the Swan Valley vineyards round off the evening.

There is a general opinion that Perth is the most isolated city in the world. Maybe geographically, but one doesn't feel that because Perth is a vibrant city, with a selection of great shops, wonderful restaurants, cafes and bars and the views to die for! There is so much to do for any visitor and a short drive away will take you to some spectacular nature phenomenon. The beaches all around Perth can compete with the best in the world, and all of them offer great eateries in the neighbourhood. The public transport is great and free within the city. A double-decker tourist bus is a great start to the trip and recommended.

Obviously as the State captial, central to all events and tourist sites. Clean and relatively small in comparison to state captials around Australia. A good starting point for visits to Western Australia.

There are lots of things to enjoy in Perth.
There are lots of things to enjoy in Perth. We enjoyed our experience at the Bell Tower becoming amateur bell ringers on the tour. The Perth Mint was very interesting especially watching the Gold pour. The WA Museum and Art Gallery were well worth the visit as was the tour of St. Mary's Cathedral. A big highlight was visiting Kings Park Botanic Gardens. It is a very beautiful place with spectacular views.
The tour to Rottnest Island was great We enjoyed learning about its importance during WW2 seeing the huge cannon. The train ride was fun too.
Our trip to the Margaret River area was full of interest. We enjoyed visiting Busselton Jetty, Mammoth Cave and Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse among other things.
Fremantle was only thirty minutes from Perth on the train. Visiting Freemantle Prison was excellent especially the Tunnel Tour. There were lots of quirky shops to visit and places to eat along the main street.
There were lots of other tours and places we could have visited in Perth and its surroundings but we only had a week. We packed a lot in and had a fabulous holiday.

Clean city with plenty to offer all. Greenery with some beautiful trees and kings park is a must for a view of the city and river. From the metro south a short drive or walkable if you’re a bit fitter, there is a lovely ferry into the city.

Absolutely wonderful the staff were amazing and nothing was a problem for them.
The hotel is immaculate. The rooms are very spacious and superbly appointed. It is super clean. The daily breakfast is fantastic along with the wonderful service provided by Boris.
This Is a real gem and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Perth.
I would give this hotel ten stars if I could.
A big thank you to mohammad Taylor Boris and the rest of the front of house staff for making our stay so comfortable and memorable .
Our stay at Alex Hotel in Perth was truly amazing! Despite having to work during our stay, the hotel made it incredibly convenient with their excellent working space. They provided 24/7 access to snacks, croissants, and drinks, which kept us fueled and productive throughout the day. The combination of comfortable accommodations and a conducive work environment made our experience at Alex Hotel exceptional. Highly recommended for both work and leisure travelers!
The best thing about the Pagoda is the price; a spacious 2 bedroom apartment is much more affordable than a comparably sized hotel room in the city. We had a car so still easy to get to and explore Perth CBD/Northbridge which is relatively close.
The staff in the hotel restaurant at breakfast-time were gracious and patient.
The suburb where the hotel is located is pleasant for exploring (IMO).
The free street parking for your car is great.
Very clean, modern hotel with nice street art prints. The location is convenient within the CBD. The bedding is very comfortable. The room has a great selection of tea and coffee pods, with milk in the mini fridge. Nice, quality shampoo, conditioner, and bath products.
Easy to order Uber Eats delivery if you arrive late or don’t feel like going out for food and don’t want to pay room service prices.
Love everything about this hotel in East Perth. Perfect for a romantic getaway, it is surrounded by beautiful gardens and three great restaurants that overlook the water. You'll feel like you're in Europe! It even has an outdoor, heated swimming pool with views. The bed and pillows were the most comfortable we've ever slept on. Reception staff are lovely and welcoming.
Had read a review that the hotel was dated. We found a modern and contemporary design. The bathroom had a Large shower cubicle, washing machine and dryer, but still space to move. The large and well maintained Pool and bbq area was a welcome retreat as Perth sweltered through a heatwave. Free CBD bus outside the front door. Would definitely stay again.
The room felt larger than your typical budget city hotel and was very well-equipped (kitchenette, microwave, laundry services, work desks) which made our stay in Perth easy and enjoyable. The staff are lovely and helpful and the hotel is conveniently located allowing us to walk to the quay and anywhere else in the city.
This property is so central to all the must see iconic Perth locations. An easy walk to the Waterfront precinct, the CBD and Kings Park. They offered free parking which is so rare at city hotels. The fully self contained apartments were clean and very comfortable. You could easily stay a week or more.
Perfect Location in CBD Perth. The Interior looks stunning and we missed nothing in our room. The hotelbar and as well the pool are some cool features to make a Stay in The Adnate unforgettable. The concierge was really nice and gave us helpful advice and recommendations.
Room and bathroom were clean and spacious. Bed was extremely comfortable and the location of the hotel was perfect. A great hotel which provides bigger and cleaner rooms at a much more reasonable price than the other hotels in Perth CBD/Northbridge.
The hotel was nice and central to where we were going in Perth. Also, the parking was made easy with the car park beside the hotel. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. I would recommend your hotel to my friends and colleagues.
The Adina Apartment Hotel is perfectly positioned in Perth CBD and just a small 1-minute walk from the convention center. Rooms were a great size comfortable and clean. Would definitely stay here in Perth again.
Well-renovated self-contained apartment. Great location, exactly as advertised. Good basic set up for people who travel to perth regularly and don’t need a fancy hotel.
