What an exceptional stay. Bernard and Connie were amazing hosts. Nothing was an issue. The room was beautifully appointed, breakfast exceptional. Carparking is across the road. Very safe area.

Hospitality was the best. Great history. Nice stylish interior design. Clean and comfortable. The best breakfast we have had a long time. Luuk and Erwin were simply the nicest and most attentive hosts you could ever ask for in a hotel or real B&B like La Corderie.

Lokeren was a lovely place to visit, shops and bars were superb and the centre is serviced by the train station if you want to go farther afield. The markets are superb where you can buy anything from an antique to an ostrich. If you go to Belgium make a point of checking Lokeren out, you will not be disappointed.

English was spoken but the place was for the locals - activities and restaurants seemed designed to appeal to the Belgian market not to international tourists but nevertheless we were made to feel welcome and would certainly return
