The location was great. The staff was wonderful. Breakfast was good but could have been hotter for my likes. The coffee was excellent. The coffee machine in the lobby was great. Wish all BW had that.

We booked our room on the way, had we known before we left home what kind of a place we would rent for night, we would’ve brought food along to make our breakfast! It was a great place!

The room was very comfortable. Breakfast was so so altho, the breakfast manager was very helpful. Breakfast room was insufficient for the crowd and people had to wait for a table.

It's a very picturesque town mainly focused at the footsteps of mountains for winter activity and hiking in summer. We were here during early spring and the pathways can be a bit muddy as you hike higher. Nonetheless, would love to be here again.
We did the fairy Creek falls hike and visited Mt. Fernie Provincial Park. Lots to do here if you are a nature lover. The drive is beautiful with a small downtown full of eateries and shopping places. Also has variety of dine in options including a steak place just on the main road. It has almost everything that you can ask for in a small town.

Fernie has made a successful transition from a mining town to a destination outdoor recreation center (biking, skiing, climbing, fishing, etc.). Its historic main street has a good variety of small, locally owned businesses with good food and drink, sports shops, and general retail. The people are friendly and very helpful.

We loved the whole experience.
We loved the whole experience. The skiing, of course, is always fantastic, but so was Griz Days (the whole town gets involved). We also attended a sold out Ghostriders playoff game that was really electric and enjoyed some of Fernie's food/restaurant offerings that really compete with the calibre you'd get in any large city.

Fernie has great and plenty of accommodations but with many many construction workers and it being summer I would highly recommend booking far in advance of your stay. The Hostel is rough and the basic of amenities in the room. Take your own towels. Sounds outrageous but we weren't offered towels, what services were available, or offered anything other than the room at check in. I have stayed in hostels that were quite comfortable but I would never recommend the Raging Elk to anyone. There were no rooms available except this place . We had business in Fernie otherwise we would have carried on to Cranbrook.

Fernie is a great little town.
Fernie is a great little town. I liked the shops as they were unique and offered different options. Also liked buying items that were made locally. The mountain view was amazing, loved how the mountains surrounded the town. The bagel shop food was great. I loved the chocolate shop as the chocolate was made locally which is why I made a purchase there. Some of the clothing in stores were very pricey, seemed to be good quality though. Very friendly service experience everywhere I shopped.
i had sent my husband on a work trip and sent him the wrong card for the hotel. when I realized my mistake I called the hotel and the gent at the desk was amazing! stayed on the phone while I completed a payment form for him to process. took a massive amount of stress out of a situation I caused. my husband spent 12 hours travelling and got there late they had him checked in and inside his room is less then 5 mins! amazing.
I stay always stay here when I come to Fernie. Always great value for money. There’s always new updates each time I come, It’s clean, staff are friendly, the hot tub is great after a long day of hiking or biking. The free breakfast has lots of options. It’s also great to stay there if you have dogs, it’s close to the river for nice walks. Close to restaurants and a short walk/bike or drove into town.
Everything! The room was great, immaculate, well decorated, very comfortable bed, treats for the dog - everything we needed and more. Inexpensive and we were treated exceptionally well, as was our new puppy who received a gift bag of treats from a local pet shop. My friend works for Fairmont and was so surprised at how great Snow Valley Lodging was. Great location in Fernie too, 100% recommend.
Property was awesome for a family! More space than a hotel (our kids didn’t have to share a bed) as well as having a kitchen to eat breakfast and lunch in, a living room to relax in and a 2nd bathroom. The property was very homey. Had 2 TVs with cable and Netflix etc as well as games, books, puzzles etc. Was WAY better than staying in a hotel with a family.
Very friendly front staff, easy check in, COVID safe, clean rooms, continental breakfast and comfy bed - nothing more to ask for really. Simple decor with streaming services and cable available, as well as coin laundry. Within walking distance of downtown Fernie, and only a short drive from amazing views and hikes. Best of all - pet friendly!
The bed was very comfortable. I appreciated having the microwave and fridge. Nice toiletries provided and the towels were fluffy. The hot breakfast was just fine, better than many other hotel "serve yourself breakfasts".
I didn't get to use it but the pool looked really nice and it is a decent size.
The breakfast was good and I was happy that they had almond milk as an option! The rooms were clean. I liked that it was very close to the ski hill. Overall the hotel is pretty nice but could probably be updated a bit/renovated with the prices they charge.
The location of Fernie Slopeside Lodge was perfect. Tina, the amazing liaison was so great with all her help about both the resort and the area. We were most appreciative of the fantastic access to the lifts, grocery store, restaurants and retail.
From the fully equipped guest kitchen to the private booking for the jetted hot tub, and Timmies muffins with breakfast, the hotel thought of everything. The staff was always helpful even though they seemed quite busy. Thank you!
Hotel is comfortable and conveniently located passing through Fernie, but is getting a bit dated. Big pool in the atrium is a nice feature, especially when travelling with kids.
