It's a great jumping off place for other towns, villages and sites in the area as well. If you love architecture, the picturesque, and some great atmospheric restaurants...Port Hope has it.

We enjoyed a live show at the Capitol Theatre.
We enjoyed a live show at the Capitol Theatre. There are many great places to eat. We especially liked a bakery/cafe on Walton that serves great sandwiches and wonderful pastries at an affordable price "Sugar Bush" cafe, I believe.

Very scenic and quaint downtown strip of businesses in historic buildings, well maintained. Variety of restaurants, outdoor patios, antique shops and unique stores. Very pleasant to walk around downtown and surrounding area. Impressive that the town preserved the historic character many years ago.
Raj, the owner operator, was so friendly and welcoming. You can tell this family run business trying puts their heart into the business. They have completed many upgrades throughout the property with quality finishes.
We stayed one night as we were passing through town. The bed was very comfortable, the room was exceptionally clean and the towels were so soft. Very quiet location. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend staying at this quaint motel instead of your chain hotel. Thank you Raj for having us!
Lovely architecture, built in 1844. Amazing location. Steps away from the historic main shopping and dining street in Port Hope. Very nice Italian restaurant on ground floor with great outdoor patio. Comfortable rooms with 12 feet ceilings. Friendly staff. The room we stayed in had a portable air conditioner that was attached to the window. I think that was to avoid having to use central air during COVID. Lots of restaurants and pubs to choose from in town.
Beautiful B and B in lovely historic town of Port Hope .
it’s an exceptional place to stay with gorgeous decor, huge comfy bed and amazing breakfast .
Rose is warm, welcoming and friendly . She had created a wonderful place to stay with incredible attention to detail . The decor is so pretty and did I mention the exceptional breakfast?
it’s not a cheap place to stay but it is a cut above the usual B and B’s we have stayed at .
Very nice place. You can go to your room by the elevator but I suggest you to take the stairs because you get to see and read what is part of the hotel history and Port Hope history. Very nice rooms with a fireplace. I had an view on the Ganaraska River inlighten at night. The restaurant "Trattoria Gusto" has amazing seafood pasta dishes.... I'll definitely go back to this hotel.😇😊😉
This hotel was much. much better than I would have expected from a typical roadside motel. If you have any motel concerns ie cleanliness, comfort etc you need not worry here. I was completely impressed and will use it as my layover when travelling to Toronto from now on.
To the owners - Great job!!
Rose was a delightful and welcoming host. The room was extremely clean. The place is situated just a few minutes walk from everywhere you'd want to be in Port Hope. The breakfast was gourmet and delicious and Rose was able to accommodate our vegan and vegetarian diets.
This hotel is fairly new, it was comfortable and quiet, had a great view towards Port Hope and a corn field. Plenty of car parking and free. Good location for touring and Port Hope is small but a pleasant place. Staff were extremely helpful and courteous.
hotel was incredibly clean, staff was very helpful and kind
being pet friendly was incredibly important to us and made our stay amazing!
the included breakfast was beyond expectations and would be a reason to return!
The hairdryer in our room didn’t work. And as I stood at the front desk to tell her, another woman came to complain about the same thing in her room. The staff arranged for me to use a hairdryer in another room
Spotless & Quiet :) Comfy bed w/ top-of-the line crisp white sheets; brand new bathroom w/ excellent fixtures + grab bar on tub alcove wall; good ventilation; family-run business with charming hosts
the hotel is an independently owned business. the owner takes good care of his hotel and customers. The room and the site itself are very clean. Very quiet, but not far from the highway.
Motel is brand new. All furnitures are new. The bed was very confortable. The room is very big. It is close to the highway Montreal/Toronto but far enough to be quiet.
Staff is fantastic.
Good hotel breakfast; wonderful helpful staff and a new little range of snacks available for purchase. Parking convenient and very clsoe to the door. The pool was good too!
Front desk staff were personable and helpful. Room on 3rd floor was quiet, clean, and I appreciated the blackout curtains. Bed was comfortable. Good wifi.
