I had a four days stay in Batlém Penzion and it became a really great memory! The Penzion is really near to the beginners ski pist like 15 minutes by walk! Other pists are easy to access with skibus just five minutes from the penzion! The nature around is really gorgeous and there is a spa center with pool just 200 m far from the penzion! Before all these qualities, stands the owner of the Penzion, Robert! He is such a great host, very friendly, kind, guest friendly and it gives you this feeling that you know him for a long time! I felt in family there! He sat the fire in his gorgeous fireplace and we had a great time chatting with him and other guest! I will go back there absolutely! I recommend Betlém for all seasons! There is also a cute dry sauna there for relaxing after your hiking or skiing! The access from either Prague or Trutnov( the small city near Janske Lazne) is easily possible with the public transportation!
Penzion Adélka Janské Lázně is 300 metres away from the bottom station of the lift to Cerna Hora ski area. It offers rustic-style rooms with wooden furniture, satellite TV.

The weather wasn't very kind to us, but the availability of a sauna brightened up our stay. As a result, we were ready for another good walk the next day.

Janske Lazne is a ski resort which is not very suitable for beginners, in the sense that there are relatively few blue slopes. They do have beginner area's, but they are not in the main area, 5 minutes by bus away from the Gondola. The Gondola only takes 7 minutes and you have a nice 10-15 minute downhill (skiing average). Friendly people and good restaurants on the slopes. The number of restaurants in the village itself is limited. But overall a good and cheaper option than the Alps.

Janské Lásně seems to be ok for skiing trips as you have a variety of possibility for skiing (Cerna Hora, Ped pod Snezkou, Mala Upa) - at least reachable by ski bus. We were there for hiking in winter time, so we cannot judge the ski conditions. There is no shopping possibilities in the location but 1 Intersport, the party mood on Silvester was quite small.
Penzion Martin is wonderful, homey BnB type of accommodation right in peaceful spa town of Janske Lazne. In winter you are right on the slopes for beginners, in the summer there are plenty of hiking trails or nice Kolonada down hill. The owner is very helpful and pleasant lady, who sent us detailed info prior to our arrival with all we needed to know.
The penzion itself is cozy and very clean, breakfast was rich and tasty. Parking is free right by the house.
We had a great stay in this hotel. We booked the room with private whirlpool and it was soooo great to relax the tired body after whole day of skiing and sport. The other facilities are also nice, swimming pool and sauna - totally recommended! The service and food in the restaurant are excellent, they even serve a beer from local brewery. Breakfast was included in the price and had a variety of choices, the juice selection and grilled vegetables are top!
Great location- walking distance from the bus stop and from the ski lift.
Never actually needed the reception aside from check-in/out, so the fact that it is in the nearby hotel and 24/7 is no problem.
Great zoned out breakfast hall, nice selection of food. I don't think I saw brie cheese as at breakfast in any other hotel.
A direct lift to the aqua center and fitness center.
Overall fantastic experience.
Very good breakfasts and dinners. Self-service buffet for the breakfast with everything. 3 course dinners.
Not so good choice of drinks in the restaurant bar. Pilsner beer (usually my favorite) not good here. Minimum wines. No coffee machine for breakfast, only a hot water, instant coffee and tea bags.
Very good location for skiing. Skis on/off from the hotel.
Clean rooms, corridors and restaurant.
Very clean, cozy room, enough space for 2+2 family. Also very warm inside, which is important on ski trips :). Spa was also fine, small but warm pool, and very good sauna. Breakfasts was ok, nothing special, but tasty and fresh. You can also buy a tap beer and have a seat in common area (the same where meals are served).
Martin and his staff are super friendly and helpful. We could rent skis in the hotel, he helped us with all our questions and had no problem with us leaving the car in the parking lot for a bit longer.
Breakfasts were good, but not great for vegetarians. The hotel is old, but very clean. The skibus is a great addition!
Great location, close to skibus and lifts. You can ski down almost to the property (50-100m), or directly to the doors, if you have old enough skis that are not afraid of some asphalt ;)
Room is great for the price, everything you need for the stay.
But, the best of all is the host, always so helpful!!! Thank you!!!
Clean and tastefully equipped small hotel. A lady at the reception was really caring did everything to make our stay as pleasant as possible. A hotel restaurant is a jewel of this hotel. Pool with whirlpool is cozy and we were there alone 90% of the time despite the hotel was apparently almost full.
Accommodation and apartment equipment was perfect! Big plus for skies storage and shoes dryer. Location was perfect, close to ski bus and ski bus card that was included was great advantage. Karina is perfect host and was very welcoming and helpful! I can only recommend her apartments!
The hotel is new, modern and clean. Our son had a regular bed which was very good, The size of the room was good, it was comfortable for 3 people.
Breakfast was good. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Friendly family hotel walking distance to the slopes of Janske Lazne (in the morning uphill to wake up your muscles and in the evening you stroll down easily. Clean and comfortable.
