The city is small but very elegant.
The city is small but very elegant. The main attraction are the baths, which are part of a UNESCO World Heritage transnational site. It is recommended to visit during the spring season as the beautiful riverside parks will be at the height of their beauty, but the Christmas market is also drawing lots of interest.
The city centre is realtively small, with the main shops in the lower area and the historic section with lots of scenic views on the hill overlooking the river Oos and the baths area. Excellent public transport is available for trips to nearby locations.
Special mention for the Frieder Burda museum.

The town is very relaxing and offers hiking, biking, sightseeing and of course the spa and casino. We took a free tour of the casino, which was informative and not too long, 45min. The spa is a must otherwise why go to Baden-Baden! There are two options, and they are completely different in what they offer so best to read up on them. If you want any treatments book early as they go fast on weekends. There area is beautiful and there are a lot of walking/hiking/biking opportunities to enjoy so plan on getting out from the downtown and head up into the forest. The Black Forest is less than an hour away for any day trips as well as Strasbourg. Train service is an option.

We used Baden Baden as a base of operations for seeing areas further north along the Rhine and further east in the Black Forest, and it's a charming town though of course very much an upscale shopping mecca (which is not really our thing). Now that I've seen the town I'm realizing we could well have stayed an extra night and seen some additional historic castles and other sites, and I for one (though not my husband) would have enjoyed a day at the spa!
Our room was very clean, modern, and comfortable. I think it was probably the most comfortable hotel room I’ve every stayed in. But, my favorite part of the hotel is the spa facilities. They were amazing! The sauna, steam room, and heated pool were always so relaxing. Plus, there is free vodka and ice provided in the spa area. The staff were also very kind. We were greeted with champagne when we first checked in, and were given water at checkout for our long drive home.
Excellent service. The lady who checked us in was very gracious,. She spoke almost perfect Spanish ( was not necessary but greatly appreciated), was very accommodating with a bit of earlier check in and baggage storage before and after checking in and out. She helped us with train information as well.
The room was great, ample, clean and value for money. The hotel is in top location, just on the corner of the spa, which the hotel gave us a complimentary hour each.
This hotel is like stepping back in time! If you like everything modern and recently remodeled this is not the place for you but I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in Baden-Baden. It is quirky and totally charming. Breakfast was very good. Location is quiet. Beds are comfortable. Everything was very clean. It is uphill from the town center so if you are walking and hills are a problem for you, be aware.
INCREDIBLY impressed with this hotel. It's a gem in Baden Baden with a lovely 15-20 minute walk to the heart of town through a lovely greenspace. The hotel itself was a slightly swanky surprise on our Black Forest road trip. It was fantastic to have a balcony to air out on, take a swim, hot tub, and citrusy sauna! Also the gym was a welcome surprise with some basic machines and weights.
Hotel Beek is very well placed for visitors who plan a trip to Baden Baden's spas or casino. It has the advantage that it is close to the centre of town - shops, restaurants - but in a quiet corner. We discovered that our room had a balcony with a wonderful view of Friedrichsbad, and an excellent patisserie beneath for Kaffee und kuchen.
rooms are nice size. They stocked the frig on the first night for free. The offered us free welcoming drink of our choice. Husband loved the spa. Walking distance to downtown area. Note, parking at the hotel is expensive. We noticed that the lot across the street was free. However the days of our visit it was closed for maintenance.
The breakfast was extremely nice and tasty -- we recommend the egg specialties, which we had every morning. Baden Baden is a small town, but the location of the hotel was perfect for us -- it's on a quiet street very close to many of the city's sights. The room was also very clean, if maybe a bit on the smaller side.
Everything was perfect as usual.
It’s not the first time we stay here, we always come back when traveling to Baden-Baden.
The hotel is under renovation, but no real discomfort behind that except for the closed spa.
Perfect location, very good room and comfortable stay. Very convenient parking.
Baden Baden is stunning and the hotel was exceptionally clean, the staff were helpful and friendly and the room large
Car parking was free but given the high temperature we opted for cool garage to keep wine cool - this was an additional charge but worth it
We really enjoyed our stay at Baden Baden thanks to Hôtel Rathausglöckel.
Super friendly staff & nice spacious room & right in the city center! You can reach the bath by foot in 2 minutes!
We will come back definitely if we come next time to Baden Baden
Nice and tidy hotel room in a lovely town near Baden-Baden. The staffs are very friendly and supportive, also the breakfast is great. I had a very pleasant visit there after long travel. Also it is very easy to find a parking space nearby.
The manager was extremely helpful with directions to local sites. The hotel was small but in the center of the city. The breakfast was as good as a 5 star hotel. Access to the property was easy. I would highly recommend it.
Beautiful characterful hotel with a soul. Fabulous staff were greeted personally and our cars allocated a garage each. Fabulous location will almost certainly book this hotel for any future trips to beautiful Baden Baden.
The room was large, clean and comfortable. Excellent position in the centre of Baden Baden. Parking (not free) in the hotel quite convenient and a good option, as you don´t need the car at all in the city
My favorite place to stay while in Baden-Baden! Second time here and nothing could outbid this hotel - location wise and price wise! Plus a bonus breakfast and quite flexible check-in/check-out!
Beautiful appartement with amazing view.
Close by the center of baden Baden-Baden
Very good bathroom with rainshower, comfortable beds, great kitchen.
Good parking space
The hotel is located near Casino, shops, and restaurants. The spa facilities are wonderful. the bed is comfortable and the room was quiet with a nice view.
