Hotel has good location, it is on the highway but also close to Guadix center. Restaurant and gas station right there so it was easy to get snacks at any time.
The Cathedral in Guadix is well worth a visit. It's an easy town to walk around and tourist office in the square is friendly and helpful, also a good place to have drinks. We took the road train up to see the 'cave' houses and museum which was easy and enjoyable. We drove there but the roads are fairly traffic free and it's a relaxing area to visit. If you are driving go to Gorafe and see the Monolithic ruins also the town itself is a good place to visit.
