A very nice & newly renovated apartment with all the amentities needed for a short stay. Ana the host maintained constant communications with me from the time of booking until the end. She was there to greet us was very friendly and helpful. She showed us the place and also left us bread, jam, milk and tea/coffee for breakfast which we enjoyed very much! The was free parking just a couole of minutes walk from the place and also less then 5 mins walk to the heart of the town. I accidently left my GoPro there and Ana was nice enough to mail it back to me in the US! Overall, we really enjoyed staying at Ana's place an only wish we had stayed longer in the beautiful little town with super friendly local residents!

Excellent location. Right in the heart of town. Accessible to most restaurants, the monastery and basilica. Room was clean and good size too. Love the link in unlocking the doors electronically. We had problems initially, however they got someone to help us out immediately.

Guadalupe is a good stop on the way south to Cordoba and Andalucia. Off the beaten track enough to be free of too much traffic although the Black Virgin and the Cathedral attract a lot of visitors. Around the square in front of the Cathedral are many bars, restaurants and little shops. A great place for a coffee and doing some sketching. If staying for a few days you can visit Monfrague and walk in the Sierra de Guadalupe. This is the original of all the Guadalupes around the world.

Guadalupe is a small charming village very much off the beaten track. If like me you are limited in mobility I would advise that you take into account the cobbled nature of the roads & rough flagged sidewalks. And the very steep gradients , cobbled again over which you will have to travel.

If you just want a short relaxing break, then it's good for that. There are half a dozen bars/restaurants around the main square where you can sit and watch the world pass by. The village itself is set in surrounded by beautiful countryside and there are some magnificent views. Nothing earth shattering, but worth a visit.

    Enjoyed our stay.

Enjoyed our stay. Was given the same room as we had in our first visit which was a nice touch. Very historic building and should have had music that suited the building. Evening menu not as good as first time but enjoyable. Very old streets nearby for a stroll and monastery next door.

This was the end of our Camino Guadalupe hike and we needed a rest! This may be a 2 star Hostal, but it provides 5 star comfort and care for it's guests. Close to the central square and cathedral, it is ideally located for the visitor. No car parking, but that is the nature of Guadalupe with it's narrow and steep streets. There is however public parking available within walking distance. Highly recommend.

Excellent value for money. Excellent location. A spectacular view over Guadeloupe. The hosts, Francisco and Guadalupe, came to welcome us personally, showed us around the property, offered us eggs and gave us a taste of Guadalupe's typical liqueur, Gloria. We definitely recommend this place. The owners are very kind and the place is looked after with a lot of love and care.

We booked a room,at Alta Taruta but there seemed to be a problem and we had to stay at Altamira. We didn’t like it at all though it was very clean. There was no reception. Just an old woman who gave us a code for the room. We had chosen Alta Taruta because of the good rate. Altamira had 7. We never choose a hotel with a rate lower dan 8. We were very disappointed.

Our lofty room had a balcony looking across the pool garden to the towers of the famous monastery. Dinner in the garden was exceptionally nice. The pool was dreamy. The other hotel guests seemed like very nice, interesting people, quiet and thoughtful We fantasized about living here.

ll but very nice place to stay right in the heart of Guadalupe. The venison steak in the restaurant was beautiful. Being on the square in front of the Cathedral meant that there was lots to see. The lock-up garage up a side street was handy for the bikes.

Good location 2 minutes walk from the monastery. Comfortable and quiet hotel with welcoming manager. The hotel bar was good, the hotel evening meal was ok but nothing special. We had breakfast (churros and chocolate) nearby, very good.

In the old centre, near the Monastery. Parking space is about 500 metres walk. Close to the Plaza with lots of restaurants. Had lunch in the restaurant of the hotel Altamira and the food was very good! Even discount for hotelguests!
