The hotel owner Luis was very attentive, and an excellent host. The food at the restaurant was delicious, we especially recommend the rabo de ternera.
The rooms were cosy, the bed very comfortable, and we had stunning views of the Sierra. We would definitely stay here again!
Nestled in pine forests and beside the Gredos Sierra, this Parador is housed in a stone building dating from 1928. The terrace, library and elegant lounge look out over the lovely gardens.

A superb location amidst trees, quiet and peaceful in spite of being by a road. The hotel was very much catered for lovers of nature, which was perfect for us as we're keen wildlife enthusiasts - but didn't know about this aspect of the accommodation before arrival. The meals were excellent and the proprietors and staff very genial and informative. I thoroughly recommend this base to anyone seeking a tranquil escape from mainstream living.

Hoyos de Espino is a very quaint typical Spanish village immersed in the middle of the mountains. It is peaceful and has incredible views. You can do several local hikes or you can adventure to the plataforma and do a proper mountain hike. For hikers, this is definitely worth the trip. There are a few local bars where you can grab a beer and some tapas, but you can also do proper dining a the El Molino Real where they serve superb food and they have an amazingly extensive wine list.

The service at the hotel was exceptional, complemented by a warm and welcoming reception. The property itself is stunning, perfectly situated for enthusiasts of the outdoors, especially those keen on hiking, as it is conveniently close to the Gredos Platform car park. This strategic location provides easy access to numerous scenic trails, making it an ideal choice for anyone looking to explore the natural beauty of the area.
Well, I truly came not expecting much from this place, considering so many not so good reviews. Basically what I could notice is that it's a simple quite old stay, and if you don't expect much, it will be fine. The shower worked good, and the check-in was also ok. You'll probably come by car to explore the region, but Hoyos del Espino is even walking distance. Nothing spectacular, but a good stay in general.
Great place to stay. I have been here a number of times an d enjoy the location and the atmosphere. The hotel is simple but good. Basic breakfast but it has all that is needed to go for a good hike.
