It's a nice town with slightly different vibe to the others on the Camino, quite chilled and relaxed. Probably a good place for a rest day as the trails beforehand leave you quite dirty (in poor weather). Probably lots of history here also but didn't get time to explore. I ate at the Camino Portuguese which is a cafe bar/diner. There was fine dining in the town but that doesn always sit well with hiking the next day. Easy to get around on foot, better with a bike.

Padron is a small and charming town with real character.
Padron is a small and charming town with real character. The tree lined strip by the river is gorgeous, there are beautiful old churches and best of all, a decent selection of very very good restaurants. I stayed as part of the Camino and it was one of my favourite stops. There is a really nice buzz yet relaxed feel to the place.

My partner and I were just passing through on our way along the Camino so only stayed the night. There were certain restaurants like Pulperia Rial that were incredible and hospitality in local bars was fab but it’s not really a place you’d visit unless you were passing through!

Arrived on a Sunday so market day.
Arrived on a Sunday so market day. It’s the home of the Padrón pepper! Also there was a medieval celebration on the day so town was buzzing (surrounding roads and car parks were crazy) . Perfect location for the Camino De Santiago - Albergue Rossol was ideally situated.
The location is great. Three of the bedrooms were adequate but small. Nice seating area and dining table on the main level. Lots of windows to open which was absolutely necessary. It was nice to have a washing machine and I finally found a self service laundry in town to dry our clothes next to a really nice hotel called Chef Rivera who also helped me print out a luggage transfer tag. The kitchen area would be nice if the smell didn't overwhelm you.
This is off the Camino - it took me about 15 minutes walk from the path. But it is a gorgeous, luxurious 16th century building that was converted into a hotel. It cost more than I typically spend on the Camino, but it was such a treat. The restaurant is fine dining - again, not what I usually have on the Camino. But the salmon and scallop dinner was really delicious. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. I had a wonderful stay here.
Quiet location on the way into Padron, convenient to everything. All the little touches by our hostess really put it over the top. Really appreciated the fruit basket, milk and juice boxes in the refrigerator. Her suggestions for the market and restaurants were spot on.
The apartment was perfect. Alice is a great host. The apartment is spacious and very clean. The hospitality was excellent. I highly recommend this apartment as a place to stay when you are in Padron, Spain. I will definitely stay there again. Great job Alice!!
Nice clean and comfortable room and bathroom, good location on a quiet street, very helpful staff. Enjoyed staying in this hotel, would definitely return next time. Thank you to the lady at the reception for your help.
Basic rooms in an apartment close to the football stadium in Padron.

Small sunny space to put your clothes after washing.
This was a slice of heaven! Thank you so very much for your hospitality! Every little touch was special and just what we needed as “peregrinos” and as visitors to Padron. espectacular!! muchas gracias!!
We were walking Camino and Casa Grande is right on Camino about 5 km from Padron . Hotel is very beautiful and Alexander very helpful and thoughtful. The swimming pool was amazing
Wonderful hostess & very comfortable apartment!
Only steps from the Camino path as you near the centre of Padron. Very quiet. Washing machine & huge patio were much appreciated.
