Communication - when reception couldn't be staffed they sent code and information in good time, and it all worked well.
Staff were responsive when told of an issue.
The room and bed were comfortable and the room was well organised.
Nice bathroom too.

The location was idyllic - like being in the countryside but only 10 minutes' walk into Autun. And a few minutes to the Temple across fields by the stream. Beautiful and welcoming. We were given a lovely spacious room. Excellent dinner in the lovely garden which was perfectly cooked and extraordinarily good value!

The mill and surroundings were stunning. Beautiful scenery but not far from Autun. The mill itself has been sympathetically renovated and we were greeted with a wam and inviting lounge. Anna made us welcome throughout our stay. The bedroom gave out to amazing views. The dinner was exceptional and breakfast perfect. A lovely place to stay.

Cathedral is great. The roman ruins are pretty good.
Cathedral is great. The roman ruins are pretty good. The town is wonderful to walk around in. In the evening everyone was gone and the streets were quiet and wonderful. The old town is just what you would think old France was like. We only explored half of it, so we are coming back on a future trip!

Autun is a lovely town in a tranquil setting. It is full of intersection, and not it the famous cathedral carvings and reliefs. The people are friendly and welcoming and there are good places to eat and drink.

This city surprised us with the amount and quality of its monuments and history. Do not miss the museum! Incredible works of art from the Roman era, medieval, renaissance, and more. Parking can be a challenge in Autun. So leave the car if you can. Also, don't miss the Morvan region and Bibracte.

My room, at the front of the hotel was is the oldest part of the building, was large with high ceilings and a wealth of original features. The room was spotlessly clean with a large comfortable bed, the breakfast in the morning was good with a large selection of home made produce. The secure parking beneath the hotel was easy to access and convenient. All in all excellent value and will definitely stay again if in Autun.

The hotel sits on top of the tallest hill in Autun next to the Cathedral de Lazare, one of the oldest cathedrals in France 🇫🇷 built in the 12th century. The hotel is actually one of,the buildings that was part of the diocese and even has vestiges dating from Gallo-Roman times. The hosts are charming and welcoming and have decorated the spacious elegant rooms with antique furniture and beautiful art. The views of,Autum are breathtaking.

They sent us a door code and told where the room key would be. Breakfast is ok, but we would appreciate having boiled eggs:-) The hotel clarified all questions in advance, which is nice. Very clean and has everything you need in the room. Quiet and comfortable. They cooled the room enough for our arrival, thanks to them for this concern.

We were traveling with the motorbike and felt very welcomed. We arrived in the night and the owner helped us to order food in a restaurant when everything else was closed.
