The place is amazing in the lovely heart of Bayonne.
Located on the banks of the Adour River with an exceptional view of the medieval town of Bayonne, ibis Styles Bayonne is within walking distance of the 12th-Century Cathedral.
The staff are very kindness and I had a good rest. Thanks a lot.

Bayonne is a beautiful little town, absolutely adorable.
Bayonne is a beautiful little town, absolutely adorable. There are loads of nice restaurants and the people are very friendly. There are also a lot of nice little shops, and the market Saturday morning is lovely. You can walk everywhere, but there are also little buses you can ride for free. The rivers in the center are impressive and beautiful, and you can stay looking at the water for hours, especially when the tide water comes up and goes down.
We also took a lunch and afternoon trip to Guéthary (that a server at a bar recommended us), a tiny little town by the sea. Beautiful and really nice food.

Bayonne (Baiona) is a lovely town, very Basque.
Bayonne (Baiona) is a lovely town, very Basque. Great restaurants, and handy for the road south into Spain. BUT: parking is an issue. If you are staying in the centre, the station car park costs upwards of €14. If you like a couple of glasses of wine with dinner... otherwise it's a taxi at similar cost.

Very beautiful, authentic and preserved medieval town in the Basque Country of France. The downtown area is small and bisected by a river, it doesn't get much prettier than that. The food scene is fantastic, with plenty of Basque and French options - I'd recommend Les Tontons Flingueurs, and PATXAMAMA. Also, try the chocolates there, they are amazing! (L'Atelier du Chocolat, Chocolaterie Puyodebat). The ritzy beaches and charming old town of Biarritz are just a 15-minute drive away.

The atmosphere around city helped to make a very enjoyable stay ,both sightseeing and visiting bars and restaurants. A bus/tram has improved greatly link between Bayonne and Biarritz allowing visitors to spend time on beaches without actually staying there.

We only stopped during a trip from Northern France to Portugal. We didn't see any of Bayonne. We chose the hotel as it was just off the motorway and good for quick access back on the motorway the next morning.
The hotel is in an excellent location, very close for an easy walk to the most interesting areas of old town. Arrival was easy except that it was dependent on finding one of only a few parking spots for check in and bag drop off. Once checked in, you get a card for their reserved parking which is only about 100m away.
The hotel restaurant food and service was excellent. The room was clean and modern.
I stayed at over 30 hotels on a cycling tour of France (June 2022). This was by far the best place I stayed. Beautifully clean. Everything you would need for an extended stay (kitchen - kitchen utilities). And wow what a view. Right in the centre of this beautiful town. We could have just looked out of the window and 'people watched' all day.
The Hotel is very well located almost opposite Gare de Bayonne and about 10 minutes walk into Bayonne. Room reasonable size with reasonable storage facilities. Comfortable bed. Good shower. Good breakfast. Staff friendly. Hotel quiet but some noise from the Fountain Square outside. WiFi generally good.
The hotel is very clean and smells good. And the owner is very friendly. I can't speak English or French, but I kept smiling and communicating through miracle communication during my stay. If you want to relax in Bayonne, it's the place you want to visit again!!
I was looking for a spot for one night to break up a long railway journey. Perfect location at the train station. Right across the river from the old-town and all the restaurants and shops there. Not a plush hotel, but comfortable bed and a wonderful view.
Coffee machine had a soup option. It was great as I have got flu while visiting beautiful biarritz. When i am back hôtel, I enjoyed cup of tea and soup, was good for the sore throat recovery. Thanks.
Room was a typical Ibis city centre room, clean, tidy but quite small. Parking was outdoor but with a security gate. 10 minute walk to the centre of Bayonne, just over the river. Staff very friendly.
Very quiet, spacious and comfortable. Slept very well. Possibly our toddler’s best sleep in France. Owner was very friendly, responsive and explained everything well.
Helpful and friendly staff, the hotel in well situated in Bayonne. Rooms are clean and comfortable and tastefully decorated. the breakfast is excellent.
