Julienas is a wine town that has seen better times and now looks rather sad with so many empty or poorly maintained properties. A walk along the edge of the stream (which passes through the town) is interesting. The wine cellar tour looks interesting.
A lovely hotel in a lovely part of Beaujolais. We were warm welcomed and everything was explained. The room was impeccably clean, contemporary styling with Tea and Coffee making facilities and good air conditioning.
Breakfast was amazing with great coffee.
We had a meal in the hotel’s restaurant on our last evening and it was a gastronomic delight. So many thanks to Christine and Alain for giving us such a memorable holiday in their beautiful hotel.
The location is amazing. Very tranquil amongst the vineyards of Beaujolais. Lovely building and gardens (with small pool), wonderful couple who run it and great breakfast. Only slight downside was we arrived late and there is no restaurant but the helpful man who runs the hotel arranged for us to go to a nearby restaurant for dinner. Overall it was great and I was sad we weren't staying for longer. Would recommend and I'd love to go back.
From the very first moment we were warmly welcomed and taken good care of. Our superior double room was spacious, impeccably clean and very comfortable. It had everything we could ask for. We slept well and peacefully. We enjoyed exquisite and beautifully presented food at the restaurant, and received excellent service. The continental breakfast was generous and filling. Staying at the hotel was a highlight of our trip.
The hotel is located in a wine area and gives from the highway to the hotel drive a vue on beautiful landscape.
The restaurant had good quality food. Breakfast is good. Many options to choose from. We had a superieur room, but got the handicapped room which goes for the same price but is in fact a bit smaller. Friendly owner and friendly staff. There is a wine tasting where you can taste 6 wines. Free of charge.
an absolutely wonderful place surrounded by vineyards and beautiful scenery. the couple running the hotel were the most helpful and they put extra care into welcoming our children even though we may not have been their typical guests (most were older couples without kids).
Delightful hosts, lovely welcome. Stylishly decorated large bedroom and bathroom. Pool and poolside facilities were very welcome. Good choice of restaurants within easy walking distance through the vineyards, a good boulangerie in Julienas too.
The hotel is located on the side of a hill with beautiful views across the countryside. the sunrise was a magnificent sight. A local winemaker offered an evening wine tasting and it was great to taste wine in the garden setting.
comfortable bed with fabulous views of the vineyards. Breakfast was great value and was very good.
The hotel staff booked us into the local restaurant which is absolutely incredible.
