Great location, about a 20 minute drive to one of the best hikes in the Pyrenees. The hot tub was a welcoming sight after a gruelling hike.
Located just 200 metres from Gourette city centre ans ski resort for winter skiing and on the GR10 Route for summer hiking, L’Amoulat is in the heart of Pyrénées and offers a terrace.

The hotel is perfectly located in Gourette which is a town/ski-resort in the Pyrenees (great location for hiking and cycling too). Brigitte, the host at the hotel, is extremely kind and generous and made the stay great with advice and making me feel comfortable throughout my stay.
The restaurant of the hotel is also amazing and I would highly recommend dropping by there.
Laruns is a charming village in the Ossau valley. It's an ideal base for exploring the Béarn area of the Pyrenees, and a centre for many outdoor activities, and has a good selection of eateries. We went there for the petit train d'Artouste and a stage of the tour de France, and discovered a gem, to which we will be returning.

It was an adventure trip in deep winter, so we expected some road setbacks. I imagine great views in the summer too.
Actually I booked this for my daughter, Gabriela. I was not there personally. And I am reflecting her reviews ( sent questions to her )and I am posting her answers.

To be fair, La Caverne is in Eaux Chaudes, a few miles south of Laruns. Its heyday as a spa destination has gone but there is a lovely "past elegance" about the place. Laruns is bigger and busier but still a nice town in which to spend a few hours.

Laruns is just the right size.
Laruns is just the right size. We liked the supermarket at the edge of the village for stocking up on supplies and the artistic sculptures nearby. It's a great place to use as a base for visiting nearby attractions. We had a great meal at Restaurant L'Arregalet, good atmosphere too. The creperie in the square is very good too.
The breakfast was adequate and staff were helpful. The central location was excellent, although parking was a little way away in a public but free car park. The room was spacious and comfortable. Having a desk was helpful. I was able to walk out of the door and be in pleasant out of town surroundings within a few minutes. It was even possible to get into the mountains on foot from the hotel.
The apartment was located in a block about 200m from the center of Laruns. Good view from the balcony of the village and surrounding countryside. Our host was helpful in providing access at the time we wanted even though he was not personally available. The major appliances were new and in good condition.
Hotel D'Ossau was in the perfect location for all our hiking adventures. The room was spotless and the bed very comfortable. Plenty of parking available on the street. The restaurant is quite popular and food is delicious. Laruns is a small town with friendly people. We enjoyed exploring the area.
I chose this hotel because of its central location in a pretty square with a view of the Pyrenees. My room was on the top floor overlooking the square which was perfect. I had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and enjoyed the food and service. Very pleasant and hardworking staff.
A well run independent hotel. The restaurant served an excellent meal and the staff were very helpful. We used the outside eating area and it was busy indicating it is well regarded. Recommend booking a table. Good breakfast. There is plenty of parking nearby.
Beautiful and well-stocked gite in Laruns. We enjoyed the hot tub and visiting with the other guests. Good restaurants in town and easy drives to lots of good hiking. One beautiful hike to a water fall right from the gite. It's a lovely stay!!
Wonderful redone and redecorate place right in the village of Laruns, great space and with lots of "characters". Our host Laurence was wonderful and extremely accommodating. We will definitely be back.
We liked the location of this hotel as it is great for walks in the Ossau Valley. We particularly liked eating outside on the terrace each evening. The food was very good.
