Food and service was excellent.
We had a lovely big room with garden access - light and airy and very comfy.
The staff were very welcoming and couldn't do enough to help.

Lovely little hotel in quiet Grandtully. We enjoyed the food and stay at this small inn, and walked one afternoon along the river bank to the next town as well as visited (the outside at least - as it was closed until 2 PM) the nearby Menzies Castle.
On the banks of the River Tay, situated at the Grandtully rapids, this family-friendly inn is surrounded by scenic Perthshire countryside.

A treat to return to this fine inn, gloriously situated, for the 3rd or 4th time. Well-appointed spacious family room and excellent dinner in the restaurant - the pies here are some of the best in the UK! Delicious breakfast in the new room with floor to ceiling windows. A good base from which to explore the beautiful Tay Valley and enjoy a visit to the theatre in Pitlochry.
Set on the edge of Tay Forest Park, these modern apartments have under-floor heating throughout. excellent onsite facilities include golf course, bar & brasserie and deli & gift shop.

Fabulous views and beautiful well kept lodges in a beautiful location with everything you need for a self catering holiday. However 4pm check in on Friday and 10am checkout on a Sunday made the weekend feel rushed and spoiled your Saturday night having to get up early the next morning to pack up the lodge and exit for 10am. A later Sunday checkout would have made all the difference

Aberfeldy is on the River Tay and set in beautiful countryside. There are outdoor things to do- farm trips, walks by the river or The Birds of Aberfeldy. In March the roads around are quiet and the views and countryside is so wonderful . For me The Watermill is one of the best individual bookshops anywhere and it has its own wonderful coffee shop. I want to go back .

Very pleasant area of Perthshire - plenty activities, walking, cycling and watersports etc. Not far from Kenmore, Killin, Dunkeld which are all worth a visit. Dochart Falls worth a stop on the way to Killin.
Not a huge amount in Aberfeldy itself, but a good centre. For an evening meal we would recommend the Inn on the Tay at Grandtully which is only 10-15 minutes away - the food and service was excellent, and there's outdoor seating for sunny days, pretty much on the banks of the Tay.

We visit Aberfeldy every year and find it an excellent location to base ourselves and can travel around the area. It has a lovely town centre with a variety of shops and good selection of eating places. It is easy to walk to places and the highlight for those keen on walking is the Birks of Aberfeldy with stunning views.
The Watermill in the centre of the town is a beautiful building and now a book store with cafe and well worth a visit.
There is a cinema too in town with a cafe.
It is easy to drive to Kenmore, Pitlochry and Blair Atholl when based in Aberfeldy.
Karelia House is a craft store selling fabric and wool with a small cafe and based between Kenmore and Aberfeldy and worth a trip if you like sewing/knitting.
Moness Hotel in Aberfeldy has a spa and small swimming pool and easy to walk to from the town centre.
Near Aberfeldy is Grandtully with great views of the river. There is the highland chocolatier shop here too which has a lovely gift shop, a cafe and of course a selection of delicious chocolates.
The Townhouse in Aberfeldy is a great place to stay and eat. Also visited the Waterfront restaurant in Kenmore which was excellent.

Aberfeldy is a nice, small town.
Aberfeldy is a nice, small town. There are plenty of places to eat (good meals for our taste) and there was plenty of choice including an Iranian/Mediterranean cuisine restaurant and a good Italian one.
There is also a wonderful Bookshop (The Watermill) with a very nice cafe attached.
There is a great variety of attractions to visit in the area - wonderful scenery and woodlands for instance. Also a swimming in the local Community Hub/school.
One particularly good (and famous) local attraction is The Birks of Aberfeldy. There are also so many places of interest to visit, a little further afield. People here appear friendly and helpful. One particular mention to be made, is of schoolchildren who offered to help immediately, after I (Janet) had fallen in the town.

Aberfeldy is a small city and is easily walkable.
Aberfeldy is a small city and is easily walkable. We got our lunch to go from the local co-op and sat on a bench next to the river to eat. It's springtime and daffodils are in bloom everywhere. There is an excellent bakery and a good Indian restaurant (Chillies) in town.
We had a very well equipped, comfortable and clean cottage in the grounds of the Moness hotel. There are trees, grass and bushes everywhere, and plenty of birds to listen to, you can see rabbits hopping about. The bed was very comfortable, we slept like logs. There is a lovely woodland footpath into Aberfeldy along the burn, we saw red squirrels. We had 2 good meals in the bar in the evening, lovely staff. Twice a day we used the swimming pool and sauna. I had a lovely facial at the Spa, using the discount as hotel guest.
Great location. Close to shops, pubs and restaurants. One minute from the River Tay. Ten mins from Loch Tay. Hotel is spotless and modern. We got the superior room. It was massive. Other rooms were large too.
Owner and staff are very friendly. The owner ran me back up to the loch to get my car after we kayaked from the Loch down to the hotel. 1st time we'd been on a river. Was a lot of fun. Some rapids at the start. Was a little scary for a 1st timer. Then pretty smooth the rest of the way. Nearly 6 miles.
The restaurant was brilliant. Couldn’t fault the food. My kids loved the swimming pool but there were a lot of out of order signs. The steam room, pool table and small kids play area were all out of use. The house we stayed in was massive and suited our stay but quite tatty and in need of a paint. The carpets were pretty dirty to look at. The house was however clean as were the bathrooms.
The staff were excellent. Think the resort does need some TLC though.
The views and hot tub was the highlight and private and quiet. Location perfect, close enough to aberfeldy that you could walk it easily and places to see not to far away ie 7 mile to Kenmore,10 mins from highland safaris and there's a stunning waterfall birks of aberfeldy a little strenuous but worth it. Found something to do every day mainly waterfalls. Owners are friendly and informative of the area. Very clean. Loved our stay here.
Location was perfect. Beautiful village with plenty to do and easy to drive to lots of wonderful places nearby. The cottage was lovely. Lots of amenities and very comfortable. Walking distance to local shops and some beautiful walks. Check in was easy (we collected keys from the hotel literally across the road). The man was very helpful, pleasant and friendly. All in all we were very happy with our stay.
Absolutely lovely spot. It had everything I needed and was close to everything but tucked back so it was quiet. The outdoor seating area by the burn was a special treat in the mornings. The flat was modern and comfortable and impeccably clean. A little tricky to find at first as it is around the far side of the building, but the friendly locals helped me out.
The cottage was in a great location to explore Aberfeldy and the surrounding area. There are lots of shops a restaurants within walking distance.
The cottage was very clean and looked exactly like the photos. The host left us a lovely welcome package of coffee, tea, hot chocolate and biscuits which was much appreciated after our day of traveling.
Exceptional service from check in, to dinner & drinks and breakfast. Very welcoming, all staff really do ensure your stay is a happy one. Our room was perfect, lovely, clean and comfortable. Dinner was wonderful, breakfast was exceptional. Love this hotel and in a beautiful part of Scotland too. I highly recommend and I will be back.
Fabulous renovation makes this a perfect holiday destination. Right in the centre of Aberfeldy, very convenient location. We had everything we needed, from utensils in the well-equipped kitchen, to super showers and comfy beds. Felt this flat was really good value and definitely one of the nicest places we've stayed in Scotland.
The rooms were clean and surprisingly well noise-isolated for being above a busy pup, though the beds weren't the most comfortable. There were common rooms on each floor which was a nice touch. The location is great-- right across from a free car park and easy walking to Dewars, the Birks, and the rest of Aberfeldy.
This is a charming upmarket guest house/hotel in a stunning location, based on a very nice restaurant. Facilities were inevitably slightly curtailed due to Covid-19 restrictions (e.g. lounge not open), but we enjoyed everything about our stay. The staff were, without exception, delightful, friendly and efficient.
The Townhouse Hotel in Aberfeldy is everything you want in a hotel. Location. Price. Comfort. Amenities. Marvelous food. But most of all the staff. The wait staff, reception personnel, housekeeping, everyone was friendly and helpful. I felt special and well-cared for. It's a lovely place to stay in Aberfeldy.
Hotel was located in a lovely rural area with adequate parking. Room was spacious with open outlook on ground floor. Restaurant was very dog friendly which was fine for us but some people may not have enjoyed their presence in the restaurant. Weather was not kind and sightseeing was restricted. Would return.
liked the position of this hotel in the center of town. near main routes and main shops towels are nice and soft and very large the room was clean and did have cupboard space , kettle and tea and coffee in the room very large carpark at the back of hotel which was good
Comfortable, clean and warm hotel. Friendly welcoming owner. Delicious breakfast. The hotel is situated in the lovely town of Aberfeldy, within walking distance to shops, cafes, restaurants and walks along the river up to the Birks of Aberfeldy.
The fridge and pantry were well-stocked with fresh pastries and dairy items. We loved the breads and jams! The views were spectacular, and I can't say enough about the serenity of the area. Very refreshing. Wish we could have stayed longer.
parking off the street, breakfast choices, as well as dinner. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful time visiting Aberfeldy again and likely will return in 3 years.
Within walking distance of everything we wanted to do in Aberfeldy. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable and all the staff were all very friendly and helpful.
