The staff on the whole were very helpful . The situation of the hotel was ideal for. My purpose. I had a lunch party on the Sunday, and the food and quality were excellent, as were the breakfasts…

The name is a little confusing - the property is well outside the village of that name, and we had a slight difficulty in locating it - we don't use satnav. Benson itself, being an operational RAF base, is of interest to plane spotters.....
The Croft itself is very pleasant - a crescent of very well to do houses about a mile and a quarter outside Nuffield village, on a quiet lane parallel to the Grims Dyke and Ridgeway. It appears to have changed its name; my 1" OS map shows it as Turners Croft.
Beautiful scenery, and lovely bird song in the morning; an excellent base for exploring the lower Chilterns, Thames Valley and National Trust properties. The house is about half a mile from the Ridgeway, making it an ideal base for walkers. There's a lot to see of historic interest, not least Nuffield village's connections with Lorn Nuffield, the founder of Morris and MG Cars.
We had meals at the Cherry Tree in Stoke Row, two National Trust properties and the George in Pangbourne; all good food and pleasant environs.
The Studio was perfect, spotlessly clean. it is appointed tastefully with comfortable soft furnishings. Fridge with ice box; combo microwave/oven, kettle and toaster with tea, coffee & milk provided. the nicest towels I’ve ever experienced; and I have stayed in some good hotels; & hand soap in ensuite too.
