Excellent breakfast despite it being the chef’s day off and the manager stepping up with aplomb to fulfil kitchen duties.
Location off the beaten track but consequently nice and quiet despite some bar noise.

The staff we very friendly yet relaxed about when we wanted dinner. This gave us time to enjoy the gardens with a glass of wine before coming into dinner. Dinner was tasty and perfect for what we wanted. We were one of the last tables to leave but the staff were in no rush to get us out of the dining room. We had to leave early the next day so missed breakfast but the gentleman who we saw when we left was very friendly even at 7am!
