Breakfast outstandingly tasty, room very clean and well- equipped, dinner excellent and plenty of choice, Staff friendly and helpful, also honest and intelligent - I left my bandbag in the restaurant and they tracked me down to return it. We would very definitely book there again if heading towards that area.

With a map it is easy to take footpaths up onto the Plain from close by the pub. Beware of the Military range - but some lovely walks up there and around the village. Church worth a look. Very unusual. Looks more like a castle or a country house.
