Beautiful accommodation, really lovely quiet location and typical Cotswolds style. So cosy inside and room was perfect. Comfy bed, great shower. Tasty breakfast. Nice pub style downstairs and games available to play which was nice for a chilled evening. Lots of parking on site, large outdoor area when it was warm and sunny. Reasonably priced. Staff very helpful and friendly, would definitely stay again.

The breakfast was good but the service was slow. The room was spacious and comfortable, there was plenty of parking right outside.
The Duke of Marlborough is a quaint building just outside Woodstock and Blenheim Palace, the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. It offers free parking and hearty, locally-sourced food.

The room was large with a sofa. Bed was large and very comfortable and warm. The bathroom had a shower in the bath with plenty of hot water.Shampoo and shower gel was provided,a nice touch.
The staff were extremely welcoming and nothing was too much trouble . Breakfast was great and dinner was delicious.

Lovely old pub/building. Breakfast was good and staff Lovely and friendly
In picturesque Woodstock, just 20 minutes’ drive from Oxford centre, Macdonald Bear Hotel offers a restaurant. Set in a 13th-century inn, the rooms have period features.
Good location, friendly staff. Some shortcomings in room facilities. Cold as heating not on, this had to be twice requested. Good evening meal but breakfast was disappointing as was served cold on the first morning in a cold dining area, even the China and cutlery were very cold. Some improvement noted but not sure food was freshly prepared and three mouldy strawberries found alongside yesterday’s grapes. No healthy porridge on menu. All in all very disappointing.
